- The Gamecube version of this game will have two exclusive fighters. These exclusives are Shao Kahn and Goro.
- The PS2 and Xbox versions had no exclusive characters but did have online play.
- This version of Deception came out so much later(just over 5 months) than the other four because there was originally no plans for it to even be on. According to Midway it had to do with the very low sales GameCube had for MK: Deadly Alliance(the sales were one half of Xbox and one fifth of PS2)
