  • Peter Leslie Shilton OBE was an professional English goalkeeper who started his professional career with Leicester City in 1966, played for various other clubs before retiring with Leyton Orient in 1997. Shilton won various trophies including the First Division title and European Cup as well as various other trophies. Shilton was capped by England a record amount for England with 125 caps and he also managed one team from 1992 to 1995 with Plymouth Argyle.
  • Diego Armando Maradona was a controversial Argentinian footballer who is also considered to be one of the greatest players of all time. Maradona started his career in 1976 with Argentinos Juniors, played with various other clubs including teams in Europe before retiring with Boca juniors in 1997. Maradona was capped 91 times with Argentina scoring 34 goals. Various clubs have been managed by Maradona including the Argentinian national team from 2008 to 2010.
  • The title of the game refers to a moment in the quarter finals of the 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico between England and Argentina. Both Shilton and Maradona jumped for the same ball in the air but Maradona used his hand to put the ball in the net. The goal was given and with one of the greatest goals ever scored, Argentina beat England 2-1. Argentina went on to win the Cup beating West Germany 3-2 in the final.
