- Emlyn Walter Hughes (1947 – 2004) was a former professional footballer from England who played for various clubs from 1964 to 1984 including Liverpool where he won various trophies including the 1st Division Title 4 times and the European Cup twice in the 1970s. Hughes also had a brief spell as player-manager at Rotherham United from 1981 to 1983 and was capped 62 times for England.
