Instructions:

Controls

  • Joystick or Trak-Ball: Moves your player in the direction pressed (or rolled).
  • Lower fire button (inner fire button on the Trak-Ball): Passes the ball, hikes, and selects between different players on your team.
  • Reset: Press twice to reset the game. If you only press it once, a prompt will appear asking to if you want to reset or continue.
  • Start: Press to start the game.
  • Pause: Pauses the game.
  • *Buttons 1 through 6 on the keypad are used to call up plays and select formations.*
  • *: Selects one or two-player mode, the former of which is called "Practice" mode in this game.
  • #: Selects between a regulation-length or short game. A regulation game is 15 in-game minutes and a short is 6 in-game minutes.

Plays and Formations

  • Punting: Press 2 then 1 to punt the ball.
  • Kicking a field goal: Press 3 then 1 to kick the ball for a field goal. Press 2 instead of 1 to fake a field goal.
  • Defense formation 1: Tight line defense against the up-the-middle and medium-range pass plays
  • Defense formation 2: Wide line defense that provides coverage against a medium-range pass
  • Defense formation 3: Wide line defense against a long pass
  • Defense formation 4: Sets up a 5-man line that provides the best defense against field goals
  • Defense formation 5: Provides defense against short-range passes and protects your goal line
  • Defense formation 6: Punt defense
