Review:

Capcom makes a stunning fighter that brings the arcade experience home. The only drawback is that Capcom chiefly draws characters from their own Street Fighter and SNK's King of Fighter series, when they have a large number of other properties with crazy characters available. Game mechanics like the Groove system let you change the availability of powerups to suit your taste. Also, the flexible ratio system balances the strengths of characters on each team. Graphics wise it is perfect. Sprites look like they were taken from the arcade and even cleaned up a bit, and hypnotic menus draw you in from the moment you start the game.

Balanced fighting, challenging difficulty, and unlockables give this game high replay value. If you like 2D fighting, you'll definitely love Capcom vs. SNK. Other games to look out for are Marvel vs Capcom, Cannon Spike, King of Fighters, Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury, Street Fighter, and Psychic Force 2012.
