In this month's episode, Rich (singlebanana) and Shawn (GrayGhost81), are joined by good friend and RF Generation site Director, Adam (bickman2k) to discuss his favorite game of all time, Earthbound for the SNES. When this humorous and cute RPG first hi the shelves, it went virtually undetected by gamers; now, years later, it has become one of the most talked about and beloved games on the system.  We breakdown this title to see if the love is deserved, or if it's just another high-priced, scarce relic of bygone days. Before our gametalk, you'll want to tune in to the Concertcast, where we pick our Top 3 one-hit wonders whose amazing catalogs of music went virtually unnoticed. Be sure to log on to the forums to submit your picks.  Will Earthbound first time players, Shawn and Rich's lofty expectations be met, or is this one better left in the goody case?  Tune in to find out!

As always, we are happy to hear your thoughts on the games we play on our discussion page (linked below). We will respond to your comments and are always happy to discuss the games in more detail. Please be sure to rate and write a review of the show on iTunes and/or Podbean to help us increase our listenership. Thanks for the listen, we hope you enjoy the show!

In this month's episode, the Playcast and the Shoot the Corecast join forces with Cammy and her Anti-Robot Special Forces to take on an onslaught of robot terrorists in Psikyo's Cannon Spike on the Sega Dreamcast. Rich (singlebanana), Shawn (GrayGhost81), Josh (MetalFRO) and Addicted discuss the ends and outs of this wannabe twin-stick shooter and determine whether this pricey title is one that you need to add to your collection. During the Concertcast segment, the guys choose three bands/artists that they would like to see if breakups and deceased members were no obstacle. We are extremely excited to present this RF Generation site podcast crossover as we play through this action packed title.  Ask yourself, are YOU ready for Baby Mode?

In this month's episode of the Playcast, Rich (singlebanana) and Shawn (GrayGhost81) are joined by Airship Syndicate writer and longtime friend of the Ghost, Frank Barbiere to discuss the fourth installment of the Darksider's series, Darksiders Genesis. Frank gives us an exciting, "inside baseball" look at the game and its development within the studios of Airship Syndicate.  As a special treat, Frank also joins the boys in another special segment of the Concertcast in which all three divulge their Top 5 Albums of 2007 and of course a errrrr.....few honorable mentions.....  How did the guys feel about this platforming, Diablo-style dungeon crawler?  What was their favorite song from 2007?  And which one of them has never heard Rihannah's "Umbrella?".......Seriously!  WTF??

In this month's episode of the Playcast, Rich (singlebanana) and Shawn (GrayGhost81) work to crack the mystery of Remedy Entertainment's newest release in their altered world universe, Control. The guys discuss their thoughts on the game's story, the combat and other forms of gameplay, the graphics, sounds, and whether or not this may be the game for you. Shawn is a self-proclaimed fan of Remedy games, and Rich is a newcomer, so you'll find out how this experience appealed and put-off both of them.

While last month's episode of the ConcertCast was a bit of a downer due to all of the show cancellations due to COVID-19.  The guys spirits are uplifted as they are joined by a very special guest, Marisa Dabice of the band Mannequin P@#%y.  She and her bandmates' 2019 release, "Patience," was honored as one of Pitchfork Music's 2019 Best Rock Albums of the Year. Not only is Marisa a talented musician, but an avid gamer as well.  She and the guys discuss the current and future perils of 2020 for musicians and concert attendees, her newest album and what's she's working toward, and of course, her history with video games and what she's playing now. We're breaking new ground on our show with this interview and we hope that you enjoy it.

In this month's episode of the Playcast, Rich (singlebanana) and Shawn (GrayGhost81) address these strange times as they travel to the fantastical world of Albion, the setting of Lionhead Studio's Fable II. The guys discuss the ins-and-outs of the game's story, battle mechanics, gameplay, graphics, sounds, and the game's one-of-a-kind morality system. Speaking of morality....the fellas get a bit cheeky as they discuss the current state of our world and government. It goes without saying, but we will, that the opinions herein are those of the hosts and in no way reflect the views of RF Generation. So welcome to this special episode of the Playcast; we hope you enjoy the listen as you practice your social distancing. This is the last week for donations, and we are SO close to reaching our goal!  (you can donate here: http://www.rfgeneration.c...m/index.php?action=paypal), so be sure to donate during this time to get in on the raffle of great prizes donated by our staff. We also received a very special donation from site member, Mrs C. For those of you who do not know, Mrs C is the mother of the late Michael Collins.  I was very touched by the message she sent with her donation, and to paraphrase, she was very appreciative of us keeping her son's site going. If you are unfamiliar with Michael, I suggest you check out the "Michael Collins" tab in our "About" section. We owe a lot to him for putting this great community together.

Thank you all for your support! Please remember to PM me the email address you donated with, so that we can properly thank you during our weekly updates and provide you with the proper number of raffle tickets.  If you donated recently and do not see your name, you may have donated after we pulled numbers. If you don't see it, just send me a PM and I will check on your donation status.
