If January seemed to fly by, then February zoomed by as fast as a spikey, blue weasel...... Welcome back friends to the March 2017 edition of
RF Generation's Site News! In this issue, we announce April's community playthrough game and a welcome change to the playthrough forum, pronounce the death of our IRC chatroom and announce the birth of a new means of site communication, provide the new dates and location for Retro World Expo 2017, and of course, thank those members who sent in submissions to our site and registered approvals during the month of February. Thanks for adjusting your "bunny ears" and tuning in to this edition of the Site News!
REMEMBER: If you have any news about upcoming events or topics that you think the site needs to hear about, please PM singlebanana and put "RFG Site News" in the subject line. Who knows, maybe your news will make our front page!----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
APRIL 2017 PLAYTHROUGH ANNOUNCEMENT

This April, join host Grayghost81 and the rest of the Playcast for a title that is as mechanically as it is visually stunning. For the April Community Playthrough, we'll be playing
Child of Light, a game that received much critical praise, but not a lot of buzz around here at RFGeneration.
As young Aurora, we'll fight to bring light back to the land of Lemuria, in Ubisoft's departure from sandbox action games, a 2014 side-scrolling RPG. Did this game fly under your radar? Join us on pretty much any modern platform you like (Windows, PS3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Vita) to see if this game lives up to its aggregate rating of about 90%!
We hope that you are as excited about this pick as we are! Please join us by signing up on our
Child of Light discussion thread located
HERE.

NEW COMMUNITY PLAYTHROUGH MESSAGE BOARD

If you're an avid user of the forums on RF Generation, you may have noticed the new message board for the
Community Playthroughs. Since the playthroughs have become quite a staple on the site over the last few years, we felt it necessary to bring them to the forefront so that members could more easily find them and participate each month. Thanks to those who have supported the playthroughs over the last few years and we look forward to bringing you more great titles to play and discuss in the future!

DISCORD FOR RF GENERATION

Discord is a chat server designed for gaming. It has free text and voice chat, but without using a bunch of resources on your computer. There are also Android and iOS apps, so you can keep in touch on the go.
We have set up a server for RF Generation as a means of replacing the IRC chat room. We thought that more people are already using Discord as a way of chatting with their gaming friends, so it was time for us to move to something more modern.
