Hey everyone. Ive been working on my new video game channel on YouTube for a little while now and wanted to talk a little bit about what you are seeing and can plan on seeing in the weeks and months ahead. Most of my videos are Atari 8 Bit related ( hence the name ). But I also try to include games from other consoles that I collect.
Some of the systems I collect and you may find on the channel include the Atari 2600, 5200, 7800, 8 bit computer line, NES , SNES, Gameboy, Genesis, and any other system that is cartridge based.
Each week I do at least 2 videos.
- One based called "The Gaming Moment Back In Time" which focuses on a game from my collection that either I grew up playing and enjoyed or something Ive added to my collection and has been overall a big hit to play.
- The other video is my Thursday pick up video that covers all the finds Ive picked up from flea markets, garage sales, eBay, and video game forums like this one.
The channel can be found here : http://www.youtube.com/user/atarian83
I hope you all will enjoy these videos and like usual it's a learning process for me. Feel free to subscribe, like, comment or share personal memories of the games featured. Also I'm learning as I go and sometimes make mistakes; feel free to drop a line with comments, suggestions or ideas. The more I can learn and share the more everyone benefits.
Look forward to sharing amazing memories and gaming finds.

For the most part this is just some stuff I've found in the last few weeks. All of it could just go into the "small scores" thread but I figured if it was in my blog I could feel free to post a bunch of big pictures and blabber on endlessly.

Usually I don't have a lot of luck at garage sales, but today I feel like I hit the mother load. There was a guy selling all of his collection, which ranged from 2600 games to DS and everything in between. The best part was that he was doing straight pricing of $3 per game, regardless of title. On top of that he gave me a discount for picking up a decent amount. I walked away with some fun stuff for me at a steal, got some good deals for my buddy that was with me to kick up his count, and enjoyed browsing. I'm tempted to go back, as he still had a huge amount of games left, but I grabbed the best stuff I saw. So on with the show: First off is the SNES finds. Starfox CIB, Zelda complete except box, DKC 2 & 3, SF II, Kirby's Avalanche, and Dr. Mario + Tetris. Nothing fantastic, and I let my buddy have the loose FFII I found since I have it CIB already. Next is NES. All CIB expect Alpha Mission and Dizzy, but I needed them so I grabbed them too. Again, nothing spectacular, but these can replace my loose copies. Up next is SEGA. Shining in the Darkness, Fighter's Megamix, Seaman, Grandia II, and X-Men. I was really happy to find the Grandia II and X-Men. I've never played Grandia II, so I hope this one is good. Here are the 7800 stuff. I've been trying to beef up my 7800 collection when I find good deals. It's not a beloved system, but I love 8-bit. Choplifter is NIB, although a little beat up. Other games here are Ballblazer, Food Fight, Tower Toppler, DK Jr., Crossbow CIB, and Jinks CIB. So here are the few Intellivision games I picked up. He had a lot more CIB, but I usually don't like to pay more than a buck for these. I just grabbed these because I like the games: Demon Attack, Pitfall!, and Frog Bog. Lastly is the miscellaneous bits. Road Rash for 3DO CIB, Moon Patrol 2600 CIB, Umjammer Lammy NIB, Parasite Eve II CIB, and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates NIB for DS.
All in all this is a haul I am really happy to grab. Oh, and the grand total? $75. I am really tempted to go back for more, maybe tomorrow but nothing else was screaming my name. What do you guys think?
