**Thought I'd rename this thread for Anime finds**

if you guys have any Dollar Generals or Big Lots near you they always get tons of cheap Anime DVD's. Prices are usually $3 or less.

The downside is that the selection is very random and they don't often have first volumes. As an example I recently picked up Session 3 of Cowboy Beebop at Dollar General and Session 6 at Big Lots.

I got lucky today and found 4 at a Dollar General that were in fact all first volumes.

Mobile Suit Gundam Seed - Vol. 1 - Grim Reality
Yukikaze - Vol. 1 - Danger Zone
Overman King Gainer - Vol. 1 Exodus 1
The Big O - Vol.1

I'll have to keep that in mind, although I'm usually sticking with box sets these days, it's good if there's a specific title I want to check out.

It's a great way to sample that's for sure. I have aquired maybe 40-50 DVD's from those 2 stores over the years.

any of those I posted any good?

yeah, I've seen Cowboy Beebop. I borrowed the complete series from a friend, I only have 2 of the 6 plus the movie. I loved it.

the other 4 I just picked up I have no knowledge of.

Big O is okay, and you'll like Yukikaze if you like fighter planes.

The ones near me had a few more options.

Mobile Suit Gundam Z
Panda Z
Saber Marionette (also the again and J to X series)
Haibane Renmei
Mobile Suit Gundam
Crest of the Stars
Steamboy
Planeets

Most of it was bandai or pioneer/geneon stuff.  I'm still looking to finish a few of the series they have.

If any are interested, I think we should consider the posibility of trading with each other to help complete our sets.  I've noticed different big lots carry different DVDs of the same series often times.

I'm up for that. Next time I'm there (most likely Thursday this week) I'll make a list of what they have and post it here.

I'm not looking for anything in particular but if anyone spots Cowboy Bebop 1,2,4 or 5 I need em'.

i've seen 1, 3, and 6 of cowboy bebop but that's it.  very good series well worth getting.  right now there's alot of series i'm wanting to complete that they carry.  rather then list what i've got of them, i'll list what i'm missing.

mobile suit gundam seed volumes 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10
mobile suit gundam seed movies 1, 3
Planetes volumes 1, 2, 4
mobile suit gundam zeta volume 2, 5
outlaw star dvd collection volume 1, 3
mobile suit gundam volume 2, 8+
someday's dreamer volume 3
galaxy angel volume 5

yeah, a bit of a list there.  figure i'd atleast get it out of the way.  planetes is a rather nice series i'd recomend people check out.  same for that yukikaze series.  it's rather short at only 3 DVDs but still the fighter designs are rather top notch.

I stopped at Big Lots last night. The only title they had from your list was Galaxy Angel but it was volume 6.

if you run across a Panda Z volume 2, I need that.

volume 6?  odd as the box for the set only looked to hold 5.  I'll keep an eye out for Panda Z volume 2 when I'm next in.
