Over the Hedge - (2006) - B

It was good, but not as good/original as a Pixar one, nor as funny as the Shrek movies. It bothered me that too many ideas got "borrowed" from Toy Story 1/2. (The cart that explodes and starts flying, the car scene...)

Mr. Nice Guy - (1997) - B+

Jackie Chan movie. While watching, I wondered if I just saw this movie recently. I was right lol, I went back in this thread and saw I've seen it the 9th of august. Tongue

Faces: John Cassavetes: Five Films: The Criterion Collection - (1968) - C

watched tonight....

History Of The World: Part 1 - (1981) - C

Reason for score -- just average....i went in expecting space balls or blazing saddles quality, but sadly it didn't deliver anywhere near that.

I can delete this if asked or You can delete this or move it to the locked, split thread, but I felt the need to respond.

I appologize for prior rudeness.  I get very emotionally charged over Moore topics.

Not as an attack, but you proved my point by splitting and locking; the masses don't want to hear the truth and work to hide or supress it if it means staying peaceful and happy. Also, my attack was not at all soldiers, but rather those that feel the current war is justified. It is their duty to serve, the don't have to like it, but those that truely feel the war is just are at fault.

I will drop the argument now, but I would like to hear one positive remark about the Bush administration that is valid. (please take into account all your friends and family who are out of work and are suffering at the point of poverty....and no, those $600 checks do not count.)

I'm not American nor is my country directly involved in your war. I didn't split and lock for any other reason than to keep this thread on topic while exploring the potential of another discussion. It was locked because it became clear no good discussion would come of it at present. Nothing more nothing less.

Regardless, apology accepted. You know the personal blogs would be a perfect way to continue this debate should you feel you have more to say on the matter. Since it doesn't affect the front page nor any ongoing threads you can feel free to say your piece in more detail. That goes for anyone on the site regardless of your position in the community or your stance on key issues.

Thanks,
Keith

I think we can let this one die. People will either agree or not.

Everyone, to watch movies, the true purpose of this thread.

Had you read the book?

I'm not asking because I have, because I haven't, but it's always been on my list...

I've read about half the book, the movie wasn't quite as nuts and possibly a little better.
