just finished up this eclipse set....

Who Are You, Polly Maggoo?: The Delirious Fictions Of William Klein: Eclipse Series 9: The Criterion Collection - (1966) - B+

Reason for score -- very experimental and out there...

Mr. Freedom: The Delirious Fictions Of William Klein: Eclipse Series 9: The Criterion Collection - (1969) - A

Reason for score -- very poignant movie....interesting how closely it describes the current political situation of the US...

The Model Couple: The Delirious Fictions Of William Klein: Eclipse Series 9: The Criterion Collection - (1977) - B+

Reason for score -- very interesting story / message...out there though....WAY out there

watched to finish up the movie marathon weekend....

I Am Curious - Yellow:  I Am Curious...:  The Criterion Collection - (1967) - C+

Reason for score -- too experimental and unconnected for me.

watched to finish up my criterion queue list....

I Am Curious - Blue: I Am Curious...: The Criterion Collection - (1968) - C+

Reason for score -- too experimental and unconnected for me....for the most part I love criterion movies, but this set was just beyond me.....

Indy 4 was not bad. Considering the old ones get A+, this one gets a solid B.

The alien stuff just didn't fit in.  This movie seemed like an after-thought (which I guess it was.)  Didn't seem to match up with the rest of the series.

Of course, but it still was an okay movie.

I just watched Hancock. Whoa. It was awesome. A-/A

watching now....

Ocean's Eleven: Ocean's Trilogy Collectible Giftset (HD-DVD) - (2001) - A-

Reason for score -- easily the best of the series...but, wow, was this a terrible HD transfer...the movie isn't that old, it should have been a lot cleaner than it was....

No, I don't do that fanboy thing. I have HD-DVDs and Blu-Rays and both formats have movies that look stunning and both have movies that look like shit. This just happened to be a shitty transfer. It would look equally as bad on BR. It looks like the source material used was in bad shape.

I was kidding, obviously. Smiley

EDIT: How can you (as a studio) dare to put out a bad looking movie when people know how good the format can look?

Sorry, missed the kidding aspect. But, some people are so fanboyish one way or the other it's crazy. They are basically the same product. But yea, I can't believe some high def stuff that gets pushed out. Species on bluray is another example. I think the VHS probably looked better.

Lol, I find it really strange...don't these companies realise putting out crap is hurting there own name more than it is saving them money by doing an easy update?
