Do you regulary watch TV? If so, then chances are you watch a sitcom every now and then.

List your favorites here and tell us why you like them. Listing those you hate is also possible  Cheesy

Reminder: Shows like Lost, Prison Break or Heroes are not sitcoms Wink
If you're unsure whether the show you're thinking of is a sitcom, look here.

My favorites: (I ordered them, but the order isn't that important)

1. The Simpsons
2. Friends
3. Married with Children
4. Fawlty Towers
5. The Fresh Prince of Bel-air
6. Grounded for Life
7. My Wife and Kids
8. Blackadder
9. According to Jim
10. 3rd Rock from the Sun

There's more, but 10 will do for now Smiley

Mainly Brit comedy, it's much closer to my own sense of humour:

Fawlty Towers, Red Dwarf, Blackadder, Green Wing, The Young Ones, The IT Crowd, Spaced, Vicar of Dibley, My Family... and so on.

I don't mind some US sitcoms too though honestly I find most of them really annoying.  But I like The Simpsons/Futurama and I've happily watched many an episode of Friends, Will & Grace, Ellen etc.

I also LOVE Arrested Development. Can't wait for the movie.

He really enjoys them. He was recording them on VHS tapes and he would watch them again and again. I was going to buy him a dvd player that plays PAL dvd's and buy him a few seasons at a time, but they only released a few episodes on dvd. I had to find another way to get them all. pirate

We shouldn't even need a thread for this - the only one that should be mentioned is The Office.

That's a bit over the top. Even though The Office is great there's lots of quality sitcoms out there Wink
