Two of the greatest punk bands of all time...  and I have never been able to decide which one I like best.  Some days, "I just wanna have some fun" and rock out to "Rock 'n' Roll High School," but others I feel like Kong at the Gates.

Which band is your favorite?

How could you even prefer the misfits over the ramones? Sure, they had some nice tunes, but the ramones pretty much invented punk. And They released a dozen more albums and didn't start a crappy reunion band with half the original members.

Yeah, reunion bands do kind of suck.  But I dunno...  they're just both so good.  I guess it depends on my mood, but you're probably right that the Ramones deserve more credit than the Misfits do.

I voted Ramones. they've got too much longevity on the Misfits and are legends. I love the Misfits but they were basically Glenn Danzig. He's had some longevity in his own right with Samhain and his solo stuff but his style changed a bit from project to project (Black Aria anyone?) the Ramones are the Ramones.

Its too hard of a decision to make. I find myself listening to The Misfits more often.

5 years later and I think I'll stick with my original vote.
