Should the newer amiibo release really be region free at this point? I submitted some as NA but really they are packaged for a bunch of regions including Japan.

IMO, No.
Japan and North America use the same stock (USZ coded), but Europe and Australia still use different stock (EUR coded). Most of the stuff I'm seeing on the South American market is also EUR coded, so USZ is a far cry from worldwide.
Would it make sense for some kind of NA / Japan region listing?

I don’t think the database can be easily made to work in a way that something can be attached to two different regions. And adding another region would just cock up peoples searches.
Think we’ll just have to stick to duplicating the entries

If there is a US Jewel case version, please submit the European version and I can move the images. If there isn't a US jewel case version, also submit the European version and I'll move everything over and delete the bad entry.

This should be a German release, not a UK release.

I was looking at these the other day. So as you are correctly alluding to we normally put these limited run style games as the country they come from.
However, strictly limited are making their Switch games with the UKV code and the box completely in English.
So do we have them as German to follow the Limited Run rules? Or English to follow our standard language based rules for European stuff?
Thoughts?

I was going by the little blurb at the bottom of the store page for each one of their releases.
"This game has been rated USK 12+ by the German Entertainment Software Self-Regulation Body (USK). There is no age rating printed or stickered on the box. The age rating is only shown on the disk / cartridge.
German customers must be at least 18 years old to order and receive the shipment. This does not apply to international customers."

Anyone else got any thoughts on these Strictly Limited Switch games?
By our standard rules they would be UK because the text on the box is all English and (less importantly tbh) the code is UKV. I guess SL decided the games are more marketable in English than German.
But by the "Limited Run" rules they should be German like the other SL games because its where the company is based.
For consistency I guess the latter is the better choice. I just think if we do that though we will forever more have people trying the add UK versions. That can be largely negated though by using a "UKV Version" variation title.

I haven't looked. Which rating system do they use?

I have 2 of their releases so far, and neither has a rating on them.

If no rating, I'd go for country of origin.

Who approved these? We're not using Region Free for Limited Run Releases anymore.

I'm almost positive I submitted the original entry as NA so I don't know what happened there.
