Not a lot going on here.  Just a few pictures and words about things I came across during the month of August.

First picture... it probably won't get many hearts racing.  I haven't noticed much love around here for the Dreamcast, but it was something I didn't have.

Next image.  For the PS1, Final Fantasy Anthology, and Contra: Legacy of War.  Star Fox Assault for Gamecube,  and some Sega Genesis boxes/manuals I needed (Thanks niceguy1283!)

A bunch of GBA and GBC games here, and one SNES cart.

Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Seasons.  Pokemon Gold, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald.  Mega Man Xtreme 2, Golden Sun, Golden Sun: The Lost Age, Shining Soul, Shining Soul II, and Earthworm Jim 2.

And finally, a slightly battered Brady Games guide for Kingdom Hearts.  and what I consider one of the best finds this month outside of the Chrono Trigger CIB, and Final Fantasy CIB that I mentioned in my first blog.   Black Label Final Fantasy VII, and the Brady Games official strategy guide.   Came in a package deal for about 50 bucks.  Felt a bit pricy, but damn it, I wanted it.  That makes two complete black label FF7's in my collection.

I haven't noticed much love around here for the Dreamcast

Oh no?

May I refer you to Mr. NoiseRedux, the RFG king of Dreamcast blogs:

http://www.rfgeneration.com/blogs/noiseredux/search/dreamcast/

And if you read the comments section of his "The Sega Swirl" entry, you'll discover there's more Dreamcast love 'round here than you can shake a stick at...

Zag beat me to it, haha. Yeah I'm in total DC-collection mode lately and loving every minute of it.

Nice score on that DC lot, engel. Cheesy

Yeah Bill read Noiserdux blogs they are pretty good I forgot to mention them when we talked about no love on here.  Oddly enought I see more love on here for DC than I do on Sega Age of all places.  Heck they don't really like Saturn much either.  Oh and your welcome again and thank you for picking up a few things for me as well. I'll post a blog eventually I might wait until after next week.  That FFVII is in excellent condition more than I could of imagined it was same goes for the guide it is in better condition than the two copies I have (both are variants).  Great shopping yesterday looking forward to more down the road.
@Zagnorch: Zag he's pretty new on here thanks for mentioning Noise's blogs if there's anything else I might have left out of this site let him know especially great blogs.  Also have you checked mine out lately?

PS all the stuff you bought yesterday is totally blog worthy! I mean the pokemon's, DC for a great price, and both zelda's I know not as hot as your chrono but still to me ranks up there with the FFVII Cheesy

@GamerNick:
Don't forget OatBob! He's our resident Dreamcast database owner, and could talk your head off for weeks on Dreamcast history.

@Shadow Kisuragi: yup, Oatbob is the one who accidentally pushed me back into focusing on my DC collection hardcore lately.

Good finds! I sort of feel like getting a Dreamcast now.

@Shepy: join us... it's bliss.

@noiseredux:
I'm actually a closet Dreamcast nerd as well. It has such as great library, and I pick up anything Dreamcast related whenever I get a chance locally.

@Shepy:
Want one? I've got 3 sitting at home. I pick them up dirt cheap all the time. Last one I got was $10 w/ 2 controllers, 2 VMUs, 2 Rumble Paks, and some random game that was left in the drive.

Perhaps I misspoke when I said "No love for the Dreamcast."  At first glance I noticed comments on it ranging from "blah" to just negative in general.  After reading some more of the blogs you kind fellows directed me towards I don't feel so bad about buying one Smiley  Now here's to hoping I can find more games in the wild for it around here.

@engel762: You will find some or I'll find some around here for you.

I'm kinda late to this blog party but count me in on the DC team.

oh, another DC blog?

I think that is a terrific find.  It is a wonderful console to collect for because you'll be surprised with lots of enjoyable games you may have never heard of.... and by Shenmue.

I finally kicked my anime mania... by replacing it with DC mania.  It's in full swing!  Stay tuned for another big post next week.

i actually wandered by both of those strategy guides at a flea market this weekend....the guy wanted 50$ for each, and they were in crappy condition. It's nice to find some like you did that aren't all destroyed

Short addition to the Dreamcast section of this post.  Initially after getting it home and cleaned up, I cut the tape on the Sonic Adventures case and went to pop it in the DC.  Noticed a scratch,  bummer.  It's not too deep, I think it can be buffed out.  We'll see.  Lesson learned, but at least it wasn't expensive.  Popped in Shenmue and started to play it, after about 30 minutes the DC started acting as if there wasn't a disc in the drive.  A bit of research and digging around the internet I run across the "laser calibration" fix.  After some tweaking and nail biting I managed to get the laser recalibrated and reading discs once again.  Now on to replacing that dead CMOS battery inside :/  Damned thing still thinks it's 1998 every time I turn it on!
