So, at approximately 1:15 PM CDT, I pseudo 'finished' the US Saturn database. Finished, as in put in as much data as I could knowing the information that I did. This couldn't have been done without the donors or the whole site as a whole! There are (you knew it was coming ) some major gaps though...
1. Game/Manual Scans... We need quite a few of these
2. Box Scans... About 4 are blurry, and a few have the UPC cut out (I wasn't able to fill in that data)
and finally, 3. Reviews/Overviews/Easter Eggs/ETC... I don't think I saw ANY of these through out the whole db. I'll do a review on each of my Saturn games, and if you have Saturn games and like writing, just type up a short Paragraph (like Tan said ) and sub it.
Inconsistencies aside, I think that this is yet another great step in RFgen becoming the true authority in the Gaming Database community, and in the Online Gaming Community as a whole. Baby steps, as they always say, baby steps...
But! I digress! Thanks to all who contribute in any way, be it pointing out errors, submitting corrections, programming the site, posting in the forum (a lot, or a little) or designing the site. You guys (and gals ) rock! Let us show the world why RFGEN is THE BEST DARN SITE EVER!!!!!
Thanks!!!!! To All Y'all!!!!

PS: Wow... I do use a lot of smileys don't I...
Join the Chat, won't you?

So... Our great site rfgeneration.com has this really awesome thing called a chat room. And it's just that, AWESOME! I know that personally, I've had some great times in the chat room, and I can assure you all that others have too.
You got a question but don't want to wait for a reply to your post? Then you could go over to the chat and ask. you would get an answer. Bar none. At least, that's how it used to be...
The chat here at rfgeneration has become a ghost town, a miserable excuse for the BEST GAME SITE EVER! Malygris is almost always in there, and I frequently stop by. So do others. But if you're the only one in a chat room, don't you normally leave? Of course you do. It's down right boring.
That's why I am blogging to my fellow rfgen'ers, so that we can revive the chat, make it lively again. At least, I hope thats what everyone gets out of this...
The chat is awesome, and I don't like seeing it go to waste. So, hop on over to the rfgeneration chat room, and get CHATTING!

Goodwill. A great store and friend to some, while an evil enemy to others. What makes Goodwill 'good', or 'bad', or even 'ugly'? Well, this rant is here to tell you!
The GOOD: You can find stuff! It always helps to be able to find stuff in the wild. And, Goodwill has a strange habit of ripping themselves off. But sometimes... Well, that leads into...
The BAD: Sometimes, they overprice! And I mean A LOT! Come on! 4 Bucks for a cib Genesis Sports game?! Ah well... (And then, of course you buy it.) Then comes...
The UGLY: In a large portion of Goodwills, organization is a huge problem. There are things sterewn acrossed the floor, and... WHAT IS DRIPPING FROM THE CEILING?!!?!? I digress. Goodwill is not, how I say, the cleanest place on earth.
In conclusion, personally, I feel that Goodwill offers a great opportunity to find some games on your lunch break or after school one day. The good is roughly equal to the bad, so I recommend anyone who has the time and the energy to leaf through piles of VHS tapes and books. THUMBS UP!
Following Sirgin's lead, I am also going to be contributing some more reviews. The only difference is, my are short as all hell. They encourage you to make an assumption yourself.
Hurray! A new Arkanoid game!! If you remember Arkanoid for the NES, or Super Arkanoid for the SNES, this game is for you!
Some great things with this game are:
* Revamped Gameplay integrates stylus use. * Great soundtrack that NEVER gets old. * The ability to win points to buy things in the game with. * Amazing replay value! You can pick this game up again and again!
This game is a 10. I am an easy grader, but this game truly deserves it. Taito has done well with this new version of the classic, as they did in Space Invaders Extreme. The only downfall is, ONLY THE JAPANESE VERSION HAS THE ARKANOID KNOB!! Oh well, the people in Japan always get it better...
This is a public sevice announcement brought to you by logical123
Hello to all you guests on RFGeneration right now! I'm logical, and I'm here to tell you REGISTER!!!!! Please! Yesterday, while on the forums, I noticed that there were 30 guests on-line, but only 6 registered users. The site and its members won't bite, we promise. The site is great! You can find people to ask questions, you can sell extra controllers, and of course, the Collection Software tool, the pride and joy of the site. Our coding monkeys are some of the coolest dudes around, the site works nearly perfectly. Find an error? Post in the forums. It will get fixed. Bar-none. The site is great. Register, you won't regret it.
Handy dandy link to register -> Register Now!!!
Ed Note: You got to love our members' dedication. It's ravenous. Join the fun, will you?
Edit By logical: The link was made into a "Register Now!" type thingy. I'm in the process of learning html. :-) Thanks!!
The Saturn Database is slowly being completed. I am putting all of the UPCs, Part #s, and Ratings in, but we still need scans!!!
Check out the Image database and see what scans are missing. We need just a couple Front and Back Scans, Quite a few Manual scans, and some game scans. Let's get the database finished!!!
With more of the database finished, it will be easier to see if you have that ultra rare Mortal Combat variant that you have been wanting. Finishing the database is all good!!!
Also, site appeal will go up, and more members may actually register! The big collection guys such as izret, tan, and nes_rules have done so many scans its not funny, so even if you can't do scans, try putting in part numbers and such, on any game for any system. Give back to the best gaming site there is, RFGeneration!!!!
Edit: Im soooooo sorry i forgot to put you in there Tan! Lets give him a round of applause!!
