An article I wrote about the games that defined the Game Boy Advance was published on http://Racketboy today. Check out the rather sprawling article here: http://www.racketboy.com/...the-game-boy-advance.html

You definitely came up with a solid list of the best GBA games available, although I disagree that some of those games "defined" the GBA. All the ports, while undeniably cool because of some extra content and great to have on the go, are mostly lower resolution/worst sound cash-ins piggybacking on SNES nostalgia. The F-Zero series didn't really do anything for the machine: the first one was almost as good as the original SNES, but nobody cared. The second and third one sucked, the latter not even leaving Japan.

So do we really love the GBA because of these ports? To some, that's exactly what the GBA was, a portable SNES with less than ideal sound. But I think some of us love it because of it's original games, the titles that were designed specifically for the hardware. Those exclusive games that really make owning a GBA worth it, specially in these times plagued with portable SNES emulators on every other portable system: the Metroids, Castlevanias, Advance Wars, Boktais, Megaman Zeros, Battle Networks, Fire Emblems, WarioWares, Wario Worlds, and Sonic Advances. I do agree with those!
