Christ, that's awesome!  I've wanted Dracula for a while now and if I remember correctly, Loco-Motion is kind of tough to find.  Congrats!

Alexkidd401 sold me a couple TG16 games:

Now I can compare the TG-16 R-type port, to the SMS!

Congratulation on the baby, Adam.  "I believe that children are our future," - Whitney Houston.  Okay, not the best example for how to act.

And Yes, those Intellivision games did perk some ears, and I have an idea who else noticed.  Very cool.

First off, congratulations on the new baby, Bickman.  All I can say is be prepared for anything.

Now for my garage sale pickups from yesterday:

This is my first foray into Atari computing, and at only 10 bucks for the whole lot, I definitely couldn't go wrong.  The only thing missing was a monitor/TV cable, but I do have one on the way, but otherwise it seems to work okay.  It does turn on, and I can't find anything else physically wrong with it except a bit of case wear.  The joysticks all also seem fine, though the triggers on the "guns" are a bit mushy.  The games also don't seem to have anything wrong with them, except for the sun-faded label on the Journey To The Planets.  I can't wait until that cable comes in so I can know for sure if the whole thing works like it should.

My niece's birthday is on the 15th of this month, and she's been begging the hell outta me for a 360.  So, I found this one for 20 dollars, along with the Turtle Beach Ear Force X1 headphones.  The 360 one of the earliest models, as it doesn't have HDMI output.  The only problem I found is that the disc drive doesn't open, but that'll be easily fixed.  Otherwise, it turns on, the menus all work just fine, and it has the latest updates.  I only checked it out for a few minutes before work, so I don't know what games or apps it has installed yet.  The headphones work great as well.

Hey now, folks.

Had a pretty good thrift run on my way to work yesterday:

Let's start with the little stuff:

- CIB Time Ace for DS: Appears to be a follow-up to the classic Time Pilot shooter.

- Player's Edge cleaning kit for NES

- Serpent GB cart

- Japanese GameWave DVD magazine, vol. 6

On to the bigger stuff...

- CIB Redbeard's Pirate Adventure set for PC, $6.99: A spiritual ancestor of the Skylanders and Disney Infinity series. I wonder if I can browbeat WildBil52 into doing a Dust off Your DOS Box blog on this bad boy...

- CIB Atari Flashback 4 plug-&-play, $12.99 $10.39

Aaaand the one you've really been waiting for:

- Almost-CIB Nintendo 64 console with Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2 carts, memory expansion module, and transfer pak, $29.99: A lack of a controller keeps this from being truly CIB. Otherwise, the console and hookups look like they've never been played with, ever.

Back to you.

Picked up 2 copies of Smash Bros. One for me and one for my son. We've been playing the demo together on the way to school each morning. Psyched to have more characters and options open to us now.
