Spent a few hours playing Nintendo Land by myself this morning. The Octopus, Pikmin, DK and F-Zero games are REALLY addictive and fun. And yesterday me and a couple buddies had a blast with the Zelda, Mario, Metroid and Yoshi games. I havn't even got to try them all out yet.

Anyone know if they have a rank that's higher than Gold for trohpies?

Finally spent some time on NSMBU. Whipped through the first level and then decided to check out the challenges. The challenges are a lot of fun, and are something I hope will extend the life of the game for me. I got a gold on several fairly easily, but there are some that are gonna take me some time to figure out me thinks.

Went to Target at 8a.m. yesterday when they opened and I was able to snag a deluxe set.  Tried updating the damn thing and it failed about halfway through after 2 hours.  It said it couldn't connect to the server.  Turned on the Wii U today and the thing said there was an update and it was done after about 30 minutes.  Finally!

Yeah, that initial update is brutal.

Tell me about it... A quick power blink part of the way through. Now it has to be sent off.

I used the hour my Wii U took to update to replace my NES 72 pin connector. It's kind of ironic now that I think about it. Updating the new school while fixing the old school.

Yeah, me and my wife played NSMBU.  We stopped at the Forrest part of the map.  I tried a few challenges and really enjoyed them.  I've also recently read that NSMBU will be getting DLC in the future.  I also played Black Ops II with my son.  He used the gamepad and I used the Classic Controller Pro.  We had a blast.  The gamepad is okay for Black Ops II, but I play better with the CCP.  I plan on getting the Wii U pro controller soon.  I haven't even tried Nintendoland yet.  Hey does anyone know if you can change your Nintendo network id?  When I was playing Black Ops II my name on the game was the same as my Nintendo network id  I was really hoping I could change it.

Looking for CIB NES games..........even Silent Service.
I once made the mistake of smelling a NES cart.  Man, the last guy that blew in it must have had bad breath, because it smelled like a sack full of assholes.

i saw that video, it's hilarious but painful as a collector to watch his treatment of the packaging.

I made the clerk go and get me another console because the box he first presented me with had a pretty hefty ding in it Cheesy

Make it stop! Oh man, watching that box brutality is too much for me.

I've got everything down to the foam wrapping neatly folded back in the box.

same here lol, i try to save everything except the shrink wrap plastic that protects parts of the console from dust. those just crumple and cling to themselves way too much to have any point in saving them. i do save the clingy foam, all the bags, and the twist ties though.
