Since the hucard converters are so rare and expensive, I ended up buying a PC Engine to play imports on. It came without any accessories, but I have a controller and A/V hookups. My question is, can I use the TG power supply with it? From what I can tell the voltage is the same and the connector appears to be the same as well,  but I don't want to find out the hard way.

From my understanding you can use a Genesis Model 1 power supply in a pinch.  As for the TG16 adapter, as long as the voltage matches up, and the polarity are the same it should work, in theory.  I don't own one so I can't say for sure.

A Genesis Model 1 AC adapter should do the job, but I would recommend you check out:

Genesis model 1 adapter works fine (I used one for mine) as others have mentioned. If you go the full CD-Rom setup you'll need a different power adapter though.

The TG-16 PSU will work perfectly fine as will the RF switchbox. Keep in mind though that you need to use either channel 95 or 96 for Japanese RF. Have you considered picking up an AV Booster or having it modded?
