I gave this another playthrough tonight.  I set a new high score of 599,300 and I'm proud to say that I beat the game using no continues.  The video singlebanana posted and a video I found on youtube on how to beat the final boss helped a lot.  I guess all that's left is to beat the game with two players   evilhappy

Well...... I finally made it rain bullet casings. Made it to the end without a continue and had 4 guys left. Being my first time there, I struggled and had to use 1 continue, so no additional 5 points.

But........... I did manage to take over the points lead. Smiley - 516,500

I just want to note here that you can earn the "additional achievement points" at any time during the month. For instance, you can beat all three Streets of Rage titles alone or with a friend and earn these achievement points even if we are not playing that specific game for the week. What you cannot do (until the Battle Royale) is post scores for games that are not the weekly game. For example, you cannot post a score for SoR2 until next week, since we are playing the original until Dec. 7th. Conversely, after Dec. 7th, you cannot post additional scores for the original SoR until the Battle Royale week begins on the 22nd.

This means, if you have a friend over, go ahead and play all of the titles if you want and earn the achievement points. I don't want anyone to think that they have to invite a friend over every week. But it would be a lot cooler if you did! Smiley

I hope this is clear, but if not, please feel free to ask questions. Thanks.

That makes things a lot easier!  I was thinking that you could only earn achievements for a game during its given week.  Thanks for clearing that up!

Sure, when you mentioned needing to beat the game with someone, I wanted to be sure you knew you could do all the games in one sitting if you needed to.

Adding this additional achievement award as well. I know the month has already started, so if you guys vote it down, I will remove it or keep it just for fun, 0 points. Thoughts?:

unlock "Roo" in Streets of Rage 3 and finish the game with him: +5 points

Turned in a respectable score finally and beat the game.

I was pissed too cuz I made it all the way to stage 7 with 5 lives and got monkey tossed off the elevator by those damn mohawk punks 4 times.  I think I might give it a go one more time,  but for now:

High score: 507900
