I'm not impressed at all. It looks better than the gameboy advance, but they don't even come close to the PSP screenshots. The DS looks like a playstation, while the psp comes closer to the ps2.

If you tried it you would pick it up quick. All you do is match tiles that have the same pictures on them.

I dont plan on getting either PSP or DS unless if for some strange reason someone gets me it without me asking. But it will probably remain unused and sealed unless if for some god forsaken reason i am not able to bring a system with me.
I dont use the GBA practically at all. Come to think of it i havent played it since the middle of last year at the most recent. For me it would just be a waste of $$$.

HFS that is the funniest thing ever!! DS: "Poke me with your stylus"

but those screenshots only solidified my thoughts that DS would blow.

poor nintendo, what have they done?

That comic is awesome. I dont get who the trench coat system is though.
The DS has alot of potential it seems but i just dont think it should be a "third pillair" i dont see nintendos maketing strategies working to well.

i think the trenchcoat thing is a gamecube  it has the weird curves that other systems lack  it does not look like a genesis.

the ds should not have a stylus, and if nintendo really thinks it is a nessecity, no games should use it. how the hell will the screen stay in good condition if you play metroid prime hunters wher you have to use they stylus and tap the screen to shoot?

I dont think it is Genesis either. It would be way to unrelated and besides i dont think anything Sega made had that processor.
If that specific chip was used as a hint of some sort.
I hope the DS has a LCD screen so that when you touch it it gets screwed up. That would be awesome.

This confuses me a lot more than mahjong:

Neither DS nor PSP interest me at all.  I don't really care if PSP is more like a PS2 whereas DS is more like a PSX.  So what?  Even if that is true, at least the DS will run longer than three hours on a single battery charge.  If PSP is as bad as Game Gear was in terms of battery life (and it looks like it may well be), I hope people have the sense not to buy the thing.

I bet the DS could be used on one pair of batteries even longer if it didn't have the pointless second screen. Or at least give the option to turn it off.

I think I am alone here, but I am kind of excited about the DS.  Some of the games that they are developing look to be a ton of fun (admittedly these games are 1st party, not 3rd).  I don't play handheld games much either, but for the alledged price of $150, I could easily see picking up one of these on day one.

I'm excited about the DS.  I'm glad that it can play my GBA games - otherwise forget it.  Nothing I HATE more than having to start a whole new game library.  Plus, the DS is Nintendo, and Nintendo knows how to make games.  No offense Sony, but Nintendo can out-game you any day.  Too bad the GameCube was targetted at 3 year olds.
