Hello all.

Well, I have finally committed to start collecting handheld systems.  I am focusing on removable media hardware (rather than dedicated units like Mattel Electronics Baseball).  As most of you know, consoles are my forte' - the handheld arena is pretty foriegn territory for me and I have not spent any time investigating.  Hence, I turn to RFG for some insight.

I have 'targeted' the following systems.  I picked up a few today and have designated them accordingly (along with the price paid).  Let me know if I am missing any big hitters on this list and what I should expect to pay for each.  Tell me if I got taken to the cleaners as well Sad.  I am only collecting CIB\NIB systems, so please take this into account.  The alphabetically listed systems:

Atari Lynx I \ II
Bandai SwanCrystal \ Wonderswan (DONE - $25) \ Wonderswan Color (DONE - $49)
Bit Corp Gamate (thanks Izret101!)
Cybiko Classic \ Xtreme
EPOCH Game Pocket Computer (thanks Barracuda!)
Ez MINI
Game Axe (thanks Funk_Buddy!)
Game Mate
Game Tronic (thanks Funk_Buddy!)
Game Theory Admiral (thanks Funk_Buddy!)
Gamepark 32 \ GP2X \ XGP
Hartung Game Master (thanks Funk_Buddy!)
Milton Bradley Microvision
Mega Duck \ Cougar Boy
NEC TurboExpress
Neo Geo Pocket \ Pocket Color
Nintendo DS \ DS Lite \ DSi
Nintendo Game Boy \ GB Advance \ GB Advance SP \ GB Color \ GB Micro \ GB Light \ GB Pocket (thanks Tan!)
Nintendo Pokemon Mini
Nokia N-Gage \ N-Gage QD
OpenPandora Pandora
Sega Game Gear
Sega Nomad
Sony Playblock
Sony PocketStation (DONE - $35)
Sony PSP \ PSP 3000 \ PSP Slim & Lite
Tapwave Zodiac
Tiger Game.com
Tiger Gizmondo
Tiger R-Zone Pocket Gear \ Head Gear \ Super Screen (thanks Tan!)
TimeTop GameKing I \ II (DONE \ DONE)
Watara Supervision (thanks blcklblskt!)

Thanks in advance for all of your help!

One handheld you are missing is the Watara Supervision.  I have no clue what a good price on this would be, they're rarely on ebay.

Thanks for the help guys - much appreciated!

Tan - I kind of include the Entex AV, Romtec Colervision and the VB as consoles, though if you ask 100 people half would probably disagree with me  Smiley

Sega Game Gear Blue Version (Sega Sports)
If you are a variant idiot like me, then there are tons of Game Boy/GBC/GBA/GBASP variants, etc, along with NGP and NGPC. Tongue

EDIT:

If you need full variant lists, I think I have some laying around. I'll post 'em here in a little bit.

Hey logical.

I would love the entire variant list - thanks!  I do not intend (at this time) to go down that road (get all variants) - just getting the first run systems in their original packaging for now.

Yeah I consider them consoles as well but I didn't see them in your collection list so I just threw those out there just in case.

That is ebay market for them. They fluctuate. If you look on PCengine you would be spending $100-$125 + shipping.

There's also a pepsi man game gear as well.

The Turbo-Express CIB system will cost you ALOT.  The system alone tends to fetch around 175 on the low end on average.  No idea on a CIB copy.  WS systems can range in price but the range realy isnt much.  A plain WS system can be had for 20-25, color for 25-40, and a crystal for maybe 30-45.  The varients from what I remember tend to not fetch THAT much of a premium but I'd say 70-80 tops for a couple of them with most being in the 40-55 range.  Also, I'm not aware of any varients with pack in games that were from the b/w WS or the crystal.  I think they were all WS color systems.  I'm not an expert on the system by any means though.  Game Gear systems shouldnt be that expensive but as I finaly got one a year or so ago, I've not looked in a very long time.  None of the Nintendo systems should cost more then retail at best.  The original GB stuff before the Advance may cost you the most but I highly doubt it.  Some of the stuff on your list is just too obscure though and doesnt appear on ebay enough to have a clue.

Manchester United Edition (VERY rare!)
I used to have that! God, I can't believe how stupid I was for letting it go. Sad

It was way, way before I got into collecting though, I remember not needing it anymore because I had a GameBoy Color. Tongue
