@InvadErGII: Awesome that you got to go to Kombat Kon. Just meeting Pasina at RWX was a blast, so I am sure this was a lot of fun.

@Bear78: Any day you can pick up a Jeff Rovin book is a winner.

Besides the lots I have picked up for sale recently (you should check my thread), I got this from an Amazon Lightning deal recently. Only took me a few years to download all the songs.

Today was another day where working at a hospital paid off. Add another PVM to the pile.

Well I have some finds to show off.

I got everything but Guilty Gear today, GG was one of my Denver finds. Working White PS2 that cost me $30. Bleach was a good deal too.

The PS1 games were from the same store as the white PS2, but I got them a week ago. Super Princess Peach I got for free just before I went to Denver, with Zelda and DQ5 being Denver finds.

BRAND SPANKIN' NEW DREAMCAST FISHING CONTROLLER! I have Marine Fishing, and I decided to grab Bass Fishing to go with the controller. All of this was from Denver.

Now I'm going on to what I'm currently planning on keeping for Laserdiscs. I found a bunch in Denver, and ordered some more before I left.

They didn't have Empire.

The ones above were all from Denver, and ended up being $2 each.

I ordered these online for in-store pick-up at the local Tar-Jay when they opened up for their Black Friday sale:

Best thing was, I didn't have to wait in the ridiculously long check out lines; I went right over to guest services where there was no waiting, and whipped out my order number and driver's license. One of the clerks retrieved my goodies from the back room, unlocked them from their plastic security cases, handed them to me, and I hightailed it out of that madhouse toot-sweet. I was in and out in less than three minutes. If you're gonna take advantage of Black Friday sales at the local big-box chain store, this is the way to do it! Goddamn, I love the internet...

Hey, speaking of Tar-Jay, looky what I found:

The timeless Pong, projected onto the floor of one of the main aisles! The first to score three goals wins! Sadly, my paddle's reaction time was a bit laggy; I didn't stand a chance...

ANYhoo, I hoped all you Yank-Rebs out there had a Happy Vespuccian Thanksgiving.

Well today I went hunting for games for the Secret Santa and ended up finding a bunch of very cheap games at a media store in town.  There was an outdoor rack labeled Video Games 50 cents each.  So I went to look at what they had, not expecting much.  It was still very full of lots of PS2 and Xbox commons and a few Gamecube games, but at 50 cents a game I grabbed whatever I didn't have yet.  I ended up with 40 games for $20.  I also grabbed Burnout Revenge which was not 50 cents, but now I can participate in the December Racing playthru.  I consider this a successful day.

Made a few Black Friday stops, one retro and one decidedly less so:
