Watched The Wire? Pretty much the best TV drama ever written.

Also pretty sweet is Hell on Wheels.
Yup, I even have all 5 seasons of The Wire on DVD. Fantastic show. Only downside to it is that I can't take all the other cop shows seriously anymore where they start on a murder case and finish it that same episode. Everything from CSI to you name it. I loved how things moved ever so slowly on The Wire as they worked on the same case an entire season (or even longer).

Never seen Hells on Wheels.

Btw, I heard good things about Homeland. Is that any good? It has the actor that played the main character in Band of Brothers, but I can't remember his name.

Watched the first season of Downton Abbey. Pretty good, I'm not really that into it but it's so well made I couldn't not watch.

Season 2 of the Pretender

That was one of the last shows I watched before I pretty much gave up on TV altogether.

It's one of those shows that I think could be adapted into a pretty good movie, if they put some heart and effort into it.

Oh wait, we're talking about Hollywood, here.

In that case, it'll most likely end up a big, fetid, steamin' pile lacking any of the charm or spirit of its source material.

"I came here tonight and I didn't know what to expect. I seen a lot of people hating me and I didn't know what to feel about that so I guess I didn't like you much none either. During this fight I seen a lot of changing, the way you felt about me, and the way I felt about you. In here there were two guys killin each other, but I guess it's better than 20 million. What I'm trying to say is, that if I can change, and you can change, everybody can change!"

Now I'm watching Rocky V.

The Men Who Stare at Goats - (2009) - B

--> WTF was this about. I guess the moral here is if you put actors like George Clooney, Jeff Bridges and Kevin Spacey in a movie it doesn't matter what the script is.

Saw The Hobbit, it was disappointing. They messed with the novel too much.

Do you feel like there's actually enough content in the book to warrant a trilogy? Always found that odd. It has cash cow written all over it, imo.
The Lord of the Rings also was a movie trilogy - atleast that made sense since there are actually three books. But The Hobbit is only a 300 page book. How you're going to turn that into three movies while keeping a decent pace seems a mystery to me.
