The OoT t-shirt was from the Toys 'R Us release of the Gold OoT. It came with the soundtrack as well. I specifically remember that, because my mom went out of her way to get that particular bundle for Christmas that year.

It may be, but I thought that it had been a Kmart bundle. I still have the CD too. Here are a couple other treasures. One of these days I need to go through all of my old things (again click for bigger):

Actually, you're right. It was K-Mart, because my mom had to make a separate trip to get the Gold from TRU.

That memo pad is really cool, and I didn't know anything about those collector cards. I have the English version of that Super Mario Bros. strategy guide that was sold through Nintendo. Same illustrations.

Except for the yoshi toy and Pac-man mug (which isn't actually a toy), though, all of these a pretty recent toys (3 I got off Play-asia!).
I have a bunch of other pokemon stuff, but the only real interesting things in all of them are a Welch's jelly jar and a "Santa" Pichu Plush.

Edit: Looking through my stuff I also have a Sam's Club flyer for the launch of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and a ton of newsletters for the MMORPG Toontown Online.

Those cards are pretty rare, there isn`t much on the internet in Japanese or English about them.  I like the boxes.

Interesting about the Mario guide, I didn`t realize the same one was released overseas.

what kind of video game memoribilia do you have?  being the n00b collector i am, i only have a knuckles plushie doll that i won in a claw machine a few days ago.  there was $5 rubber-banded to him.  there was also a tails in there, tried to get him but couldnt.  my friend though, has about 20 different early mortal kombat and street fighter action figures.  he doesnt play games that much, but he does collct action figures and has over 3000 of them.  he is also making a custom action figure of link, out of frodo.

Damn, and I thought I was the first guy to come up with a what-video-game-merchandise-do-you-collect thread...

...that was wiped out in the Great Outage.

But now I know better, and I profusely apologize for my plagiarism.

Anyhoo: I'm not much of a collector of video game merch that isn't actual video games, consoles, accessories, or guides. However, if I do find something interesting and/or fairly cheap, I'll not hesitate to snap it up, and add a little flair to my game shelf.

My sparse cache of tchochkes includes:

- Super Princess Peach lunchbox tin (this is where my Skylanders figures hang)

- K'Nex Mario mini-figure with dirt bike

- Wendy's kid's meal Super Mario Advance mini board game

- McD's happy meal Luigi pull-back toy

- Gengar figure (AKA the only Pokemon character I dig)

- Bag of plastic Killzone 3 soldiers, with one good-guy and a dozen bad-guys (features the tag line, "Get Used to These Odds.")

- K'Nex Luigi mini-figure with kart and starman

- McD's happy meal Mario ball (as he appears in Mario Pinball Land)

- Starman-'n'-'Shroom DS lunchbox tin (ironically, I store my loose Sega Genesis carts in here)


I'm not sure if I should include my collection of Nintendo Mini-Classics LCD game keychains... what do you think?
