Warzone 2100 is in my opinion one of the best real time strategy games ever made.  It was released in 1999 for Playstation and PC, and this past week its source code has finally been released.

The whole game and all of its code is available for download from the link below.  The whole entire game is included, aside from the video sequences, because the video format is still copyrighted by Eidos.  There is a team of people who are revamping the game and intend to convert the video to a different format so that it can also be released with the game.

So if you don't mind missing out on some of the storyline, the game is available here:

http://wzsource.directgames.net/  (Go to Source Mirrors)

Edit: here's some alternate links if that one does not work
http://www.3ddownloads.co...atedgames/Warzone2100.rar
http://www.wz2100.de/down...z2100official/sourcecode/

It's about a 90 meg download and the actual exe for the game can be found in warzone\warzone\game\data.  All you need to do is extract everything in the data folder on to your hard drive and you should be ready to go.

That's pretty cool. I liked the playstation version, but it just got too slow in the later levels and the controls weren't that good. I'll definately give this a try.

Trust me, real time strategy games are much easier when using a mouse and a keyboard.  I can't image how much of a pain it was to try to play the game on a playstation controller.
