Pretty self explanitory:
Should the contests run for 1, 2, 3 or 4 weeks?

Personally i opt for 2 or 4 weeks.

1 week would be too short for some people to compete.
2 weeks is time for most people to compete
3 weeks would be strange to keep track of IMO
4 weeks is monthly. Easy. Plus more than enough time for everyone to play and get ttheir score up or time down.

Vote away.

I voted for 2 weeks but I would be fine with 4 as well.

Vote removed and switched to 4 weeks. I didn't think poeple would want to go that long but 4 weeks works better for me.

I voted for 4 weeks.  Unfortunately, I won't be able to compete much because I don't own many games, but when I get the oppertunity I'll jump in.

I say 4 weeks because then maybe we can discuss the next game in the mean time.

Also, maybe members will pick up the game being played if there is enough time to  Wink

I agree. Once a month will be good enough.

I everyone still wants weekly or bi-weekly contests, then we could have multiple contests running at once.  Just start a new one every week and keep 4 of them open at once.

And perhaps we should just remove the original Arena and start over from scratch with a stricter format.  That's the only way I see this working.

I will lock old contest topics for now then.
Anything "personal" will remain open.
Examples: Ms. Pac-man, Revolution X, Sonic speedruns

But if you remember the old rules my current set is different compared to the way they were before.
Any questions or suggestions on the rules can be made in that thread.

Since everyone seems in agreeance with 1 month contests that will be good.
In the future we could *TRY* running a biweekly or a biweekly AND monthly but i think it would be too much at once.

We do have 6 month long votes though. Scott doesn't count because he is too easily persuaded by peer pressure as we have seen Wink

Actually I said 2 or 4. I really wanted four but didnt think other people would want to go that long. 4 weeks means I might actually play some games.

Four weeks gives people more than enough time to adapt to the game and set a solid record, so it sounds good to me.
