Well month one is off to a good start.
1 day later.

In my defense i was doing alot of game adding yesterday.

The game with the most votes was Tetris for the NES!

Let the games begin!

(I can link a rom later if people need it)

EDIT
THIS IS NOT FOR THE TENGEN TETRIS.
NINTENDO TETRIS IS THE GAME WE ARE PLAYING.
GAME TYPE A

Kool, let's see how I stack up against my fellow RFG'rs. One question... Which version of Tetris? Nintendo or Tengen. I prefer Tengen, but I'm game for either or.

Not all of us have the Tengen one (yet) and I'm not playing from a ROM!  That's cheating!  Lol

Was there a huge difference between the 2 i don't remember?

Well since Tengen was harder to come by and since the regular tetris is rather common i guess we can go with the Nintendo Tetris.
Not the Tengen Tetris

Wow i do not like the way pieces place in this one.

My current high score is only
16,496 on level 7

My first try.
I did use an ROM too since i don't feel like digging thru boxes to find all the parts hook up my NES today.
Only to find out it is one of my more finicky systems that likes to blink.

I got to level 15 a couple weeks ago in the NES Tetris on my first try.  Was the first time I had played in years too....I think I remember getting up to level 17 or 18 back when I was a kid.  I'll have to play again and take a pic but my digicam eats batteries like they are going out of style...

That's cool.  Levels can differ quite a bit from the scores, though, since levels are based on a set number of lines taken out, whereas the score is based on how those lines are taken out (1 line, 2 lines, 3 lines, tetris/4 lines).  So by playing it safe one should be able to get to a high level but with a low score, whereas somebody playing it a bit more risky can get a high score at a low level Wink  The key for getting a high score is starting early, because trying to get a Tetris at a high level is pretty tough Wink

I have played a few times since my last post.
My highest score since then is just over 62k
I refuse to go down without a fight though.
I will make it to 125k before the end of the month.

Oh there were plenty of Tetris' and 2's and 3's in there.  Wink  I rack those up in the early levels but it's all about survival in the latter levels.

I want to participate in this Tetris challenge, but I have a obstacle preventing me to do so. I recently bought a new computer, due to my other PC crashing. I now have a Mac Mini & I downloaded a few mac emulators, but can't get the game pad to work. I've never had these kind of problems with the PC. I downloaded the emulator enhancer & I still can't get it to work. Can anyone help me out?
