They don't give you enough time once you land the block to move it. In the old SE-30 version you could move it at least two spots over, with nintendo it's like 1 square if you're lucky.

here's mine.  I'm using nesterj emulator on a sony psp.  i  prefer the original nes control pad and tv, but don't have a camera on hand.  nesterj has a screenshot function.

Dude....That score means you got NOTHING but a tetris the ENTIRE game....all the way through level 17.  That's impossible...I've seen the best tetris player in the world on the NES, and he wasn't able to even come close to that...

ok sorry, i should probably note that i started on level 9 as my screenshots sort of imply (well they show that i ended on level 9 for my first two attempts and then I had a good game up to level 17).  I assume then by your response ken that this contest should start at level 0?

this is for sure not photoshopped and i will provide photo screenshots in my next posting as i can play better on tv anyway...

gimme about an hour and i will start at level 0....

Even at level 9 starting (12,000 points for a tetris), you'd need to get a tetris for every single line up to level 15.  

I'm serious when I say I've stood over a Tetris champion playing this game, and no one can do that.

Unless you're using Save States, I'd love to see a video of you playing.  Then I could say I've met the greatest Tetris player in the known world.

Yea that level and that score just DO NOT add up...
And the way you have the date entered into 2nd and 3rd place.
Sorry dude but i don't buy it.
If it is true i guess you can be that much more proud of the score since noone believes it.

it actually might be easier (or at least no harder) for me to provide video of some playing.  can anyone recommend a free hosting site for video that might be up to 20 minutes long?  

not every game is a world-class scoring affair for me but I am pretty decent at the upper levels (can get tetrises thru 18, some at 19 and over, but i'm basically in survival mode at that point)  I have been to level 29 about 5-10 times and this is the point that i would say no player can get past.  level 28 isn't relatively that much faster than 19, but 29 feels like double speed of 19.

my personal best is 636,193 which ended at level 22 and probably started at level 15.  I say probably because it was about 10 years ago, but i do have pictures of it.  I have been playing this game since it first came out on nes and have been competeing mainly against a friend of mine, nicknamed datumdatum, who has owned the highest score that i know of at somewhere in the low 700,000s.  he probably started around lev 15 as well.  These scores are on the original nes console with a tv, so there is no cheatdevices or savestates involved.

--also, for the emulator screens, i put the date as the other entries to prove that they were recently achieved scores.  how does that lower the credibility of the picture.
