I don't miss this time of the year. Time to pull my first 24-hour shift of the year, and I'm signing on the closing of my house right after. Move will be the day after, and I still have half a house to pack. No rest for the weary. Sad

Speaking of hahaha you car sucks moments.
Apparently i am going to be getting an 80something ragtop LeBaron

It is already on its last leg so i don't think i want to put any money into it. I am pretty sure it burns a quart of oil a month maybe more and i know the ragtop has at least 1 tear in it so it will flood when it rains.

Dunno if i want to drive it til it dies or see what i can get for scrap the same day i get it.

Mid 80's or late 80's?  I think the mid 80's ones are ugly, but the later ones are much better looking.

I think it falls in this range.

It is a POS and needs a ton of work.

So it's amazing is what you're saying?  Back when I turned 16 I wanted a LeBaron more than anything.

It definitely has potential. But i am not what most would consider "a car guy".
I have helped do repairs/replacements and done some of my own general maintenance but i don't have the desire to spend the time or money to go get a new ragtop get that fixed, replace the passanger seat, figure out why it is leaking and/or burning oil...

Actually... if i replace the ragtop the rest doesn't really matter. I don't care that the passenger seat doesn't fold forward easily  and as for burning oil it just means i can change it 1quart at a time

Eh i'll see what happens with it.

This fucking idiot next door is trying to drill a screw into a stud and failing miserably. So its the constant sound of knocking metal and the failure of one person as a man.

I just want to scream, "Use a smaller driver!"

Might as well scream it. It'll drown out the sound of his sobbing, and he can still save face by acting like he came up with the idea.

We've been burgled. Sad

They took three laptops, an external hard drive, dad's camera, dad's cheap UK phone, our TV, and a five pound note. They also took some of dad's beta blockers. If they're hoping to get high, they'll be unpleasantly surprised when they end up dead.

I'm typing from dad's newly purchased laptop, hence no pound sign.

Luckily I took my backpack with camera and 3DS worth NZ$4500 to work with me. My laptop has a password on it but I'm still gutted about all the data I've lost. Most of my photos on the laptop are also on my desktop PC in the UK. It's just the last 3 weeks'worth that I've lost.

I've spoken to the neighbours and we're the only ones that got done.

The TV and laptops can be replaced and paid for by the insurance, but it's the data and the information they've got that worries me.

Layover in Vegas. Still have ~5 more hours. Been here for 2. Trapped in airport. Worst unintentional Vegas trip ever :-/

That really sucks, I'm sorry to hear that.  At least you are still OK.  Someone broke into our shed a few years, and we didn't notice anything missing until a few months later when my dad realized that a small gas container was missing.
