I've got a few buds coming over Saturday night for a little Halo2. gotta practice so if I ever get Xbox live I can thrash all you bastards. right now I'd be the one to get seriously thrashed.

Nothing prepares you for Halo 2 on Live IMHO.

I'm finding that I am not enjoying Halo as much as before mostly because I'm tired of playing with idiots or with idiotic custom games.

I joined a game recently on Coagulation.  It was shotguns only.   Roll Eyes

Yeah great, I'll spend 5 minutes running towards the other guy so we can start shooting 10 feet away.  Oh, sign me up for that.

Halo 2 on live can be a pain in the ass. But I think its positives are more than its negatives.

I find some people take things too seriously , while others constantly clown around. There are way to many whiners playing.....

Its a game that takes time to become skilled and it is better to learn with a group playing at a lower level IMO.
At a lower level you can make mistakes and not get owned.

I find that it's better to play with folks at a higher level and adapt to the assrapage. You'll not only learn faster and adapt to a higher level of play but you'll learn to lose with dignity.

I agree , I can take it too serious. Sad Sometimes I see a mistake and think WTF ? ! ? But we all make mistakes.

You can take your mistakes too seriously Scott. Remember that betrayal on Zanzibar a long time ago ? Wink

Sometimes you shouldnt be so hard on yourself.

I have found my groove lately and things are easy and I am not taking it so seriously.

I don't know, I've only played a few times but it seems like learning the maps is the first thing to do.

I've done better on the maps that are more wide open or that I've played enough to be familiar with. I've found myself going in circles on the ones I didn't know.

I didnt say I couldnt beat him

I will have to look at his stats before making my final descision. But when you say someone is good it is usually because there is a good chance you will be beaten by them.

He has done a lot of talking about how good he is. Or at least get Mickm to play him.

Scott you still owe me a 1vs1 from way back when it was the first time i had no mic and you would have decimated me. As for 1v1 with Cap'n im up for it. I have no fear of loss. If your going to talk trash talk big is my thinking. I also think Nick isbetter than Capn in 1v1 when he decides to take the game seriously.

Shit and i missed out?
I am so dissapointed.
I want to get a huge sticky grenda match on Midshipand/or Lock out toget going. It would let my get some good training in plus it is fun IMO.

Thats not really surprizing.
Sometimes the smaller maps can be harder to learn too. (Midship)
Another thing too is after learning the maps you have to learn all the different names for locations.
Some of them have 2or3 different names. (Some may havemore but i can't thin of any right now)

Hey Izret, I sent you a friend request. Let me know if you got it.

Ivory Tower is probably the toughest map that they designed due to the fact that it has so many nooks and crannies...and that the designer idiots also put a sword on it!

Personally i think Ivory Tower is a pretty cool level.

I will check my friend request when i get home.
I probably won't be able to play you until at least Sunday, probably later.

Anybody ever play bumper cars on Coagulation?  I don't understand why people like that game type.

I probably have.
Don't remember for sure but i have played some pretty strange game types.

As for whoring the rockets you point is?
I also go right for the sword.

That level has so many different weaps though you can almost always get a good combo going.

Not all games have a point or may be fun to others.
I assume this is the game where a person stands in the middle and trys to "jack" the other vehicle before he gets killed ?

@ Sensei - that kinda thing is good for a break after a long stretch of ranked games.
