This May, join the RF Generation Playthrough Group as some of us knockout our backlog, and others revisit our past loves. On retro side, singlebanana hosts the Playthrough's first attempt at a turn-based, tactical RPG with Shining Force originally on the Sega Genesis/MegaDrive, and also available for the Wii Virtual Console, Sega Smash Pack 1 (DC), Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection (360/PS3), Steam, and the GBA (as Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon [with additional plots and characters]). And on the modern side, join host GrayGhost81 as he plays through the wildly stylistic platformer and 10th installment of the popular Kirby series, Kirby's Epic Yarn on the Nintendo Wii.

In Shining Force, join Max, and the several allies you will recruit along the way, in thwarting the evil Kane's plan to open the Shining Path and resurrect the Dark Dragon. Fend off Kane's horde of Runefaust warriors, and prepare yourself for a plot twist that not even Kane could foresee. Participants will need to master movement in combination with several actions such as attacking, casting spells, using items, and even searching, to dispatch enemies, level, and progress. Shining Force is available on a variety of platforms, so please join us for the first game in this classic series and work with us to save the Kingdom of Guardiana and the land of Rune.

In Kirby's first console platformer in the ten years since Kibry and The Crystal Shards (also known as Kirby 64), we'll travel from Dream Land to Patch Land in the adorable, relaxing, and most of all fun, Kirby's Epic Yarn for the Nintendo Wii. This game takes the easy platforming we all know and love from the earlier Kirby titles, and mixes it up with completely new mechanics and a brand new art style where the game world and all of the characters are made of fabric and yarn. Playing this game for the first time or revisiting it will be a great way for community members to come together and prepare for Nintendo's upcoming release, Yoshi's Woolly World.
