New Police Story - (2004) - C
--> Not too wild about this one. The action was a bit silly in a bad way, and Jackie Chan isn't that great at drama.

The Duchess - (2008) - B
--> Good costume drama, not amazing.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past - (2009) - C-
--> Really stupid chick flick, wasn't expecting much though.

The Break-Up - (2006) - C-
--> Really annoying movie. Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn's characters shout at each other for half the movie.

Rounders - (1998) - B-
--> I know this is somewhat of a cult film among poker fans. I'm not really that into poker, but the movie was alright.

The Lonely Guy - (1984) - C-
--> I really don't like these Steve Martin movies that look like they were made on a tiny budget. It isn't that funny either.

Definitely, Maybe - (2008) - B
--> Decent chick flick, better than the Break-Up of Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.

Ran through all the Futurama seasons/"movies".

Regular Show season 1 - almost positive these are "originals" and have been edited in the re-airings on TV. Like the ep where Mordecai is "so pissed" at Rigby.

Code Monkeys season 1&2 - was actually pretty funny. I mostly watched while playing games but it did a pretty good job of keeping my attention.

The Re-Inventors season 1 - working through this now. I think their might be a season 2 but can't remember.

Robot Chicken - Pretty sure they only have one season on here. I own more than that on DVD so i probably won't bother finishing this out.

Various shows that have been branded as History/Smithsonian/Discovery/Science/Etc

Also saw something online about Heroes getting brought back. So i started watching season 1 of that again. It has been so long since i saw it that most of it feels fresh.

My daughter has fallen in love with A Goofy Movie.  I've watched it no less than 20 times in the past week.  I tried to throw in some other movies just to get a break from it and she didn't make it more than 15 minutes before she started begging me to put on "Daddy Goof and Baby Goof" again.

Even with as many times as I've had to watch it, it's not a bad movie.  The songs are pretty good, there's a solid story and it makes me long for a time when there were still hand animated movies out in theaters.  There are a lot worse movies that could be on loop in my house.

I also took my daughter out to see Frozen on Friday.  Holy shit was that better than I was expecting.  It was the first animated movie I've seen in quite a while where I was actually emotionally invested in the characters.  It's coming out on DVD in a few days, so if you haven't seen it, it's definitely worth a rent at least.

Since last post.

Finished Season 1 of the Re-Inventors. God i hope it was the only season(because if there was a second season i will feel obligated to watch it). Some of the stuff was cool to see but the guys on the show were douches. I don't know if they were scripted to seem like giant dickbags or they just naturally are.

Watched a movie called Grabbers which was way better than i had anticipated it being. Gist of the movie. Creature gets loose in Ireland. It feeds on blood. Stay drunk to stay alive.

Today i checked out Attack on Leningrad. Another pretty good flick. Liked that each group spoke their own language in the movie and was subbed. Watching a movie with people speaking accented english to match their country of origin feels kind of stupid sometimes.

And started running through episodes of Mythbusters at night. Cleared season one and think i ended up halfway through season 2

Finished the Sopranos with the GF.

Not sure what series we'll start next. Probably House of Cards since everyone is going bananas over it. I want to watch Lillyhammer though.

Lillyhammer is great but in a fun and quirky sort of way. It's not serious in the way The Sopranos is. I've seen 2 seasons of it, not sure if a third season is already out.

Yeah we watched the first episode and I liked it. Not sure if we'll continue, I might have to watch it on my own. The problem for my GF wasn't the content but that for some reason the roku doesn't show the Norwegian subtitles so we have to turn on the closed captioning, which bugs her out.

Started watching Comedy Bang Bang which is pretty durn funny.

Yeah we watched the first episode and I liked it. Not sure if we'll continue, I might have to watch it on my own.

I do recommend that you stick with it. The characters grow on you after a while. There are also some Sopranos tributes thrown in here and there, especially in the second season.

Anyway, some movies I've seen in the last 2-3 weeks:

Valkyrie - (2008) - B
--> Neat WWII movie with Tom Cruise. Not an explosion-fest but a proper thriller.

The Heartbreak Kid - (2007) - C
--> Average romantic comedy with Ben Stiller.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - (1998) - B
--> An odd movie. Not sure what to make of it. Don't do drugs.

Blues Brothers 2000 - (1998) - C-
--> Worse than the original, it's mostly a poor rehash of the original. Just like in the original, the best scene is when the band gets booked to play a different genre other than blues.

Death Proof - (2007) - A-
--> Great Tarantino movie. As with most of his movies, you just can't look away once you start watching. Unfortunately, despite Tarantino's signature super-long-conversation scenes, this one suffers from shallow and negligible conversation, much less interesting than what he wrote for Pulp Fiction or Inglorious Basterds.

Four Weddings and a Funeral - (1994) - B-
--> Every romantic comedy should atleast be this good, which is still far from amazing.

Quantum of Solace - (2008) - C+
--> Average Bond movie and dissapointing after Casino Royale, which was great. This one suffers from a stupid plot and mostly average action scenes. I thought the opening chase scene in Casino Royale was better than anything in this movie. This movie also contained the stupidly-remote-yet-hightec villain's lair.

Brave - (2012) - A-
--> Terrific Pixar movie and a delight after being dissapointed by Cars 2. The story was slightly too predictable for this movie to be a true Pixar classic, but good nonetheless. This is the minimum quality I expect from a Pixar movie, honestly. Great CGI, too.

Chain of Fools - (2000) - C
--> Stupid heist comedy movie. I guess the best part is that the movie doesn't take itself seriously at all.

Looking for a change of pace, I've decided to broaden my horizons by watching rail disaster documentaries.

If you need something more lighthearted than Zagnorch's tales of woe and doom, I just discovered ComicStripCritic on YouTube.

The guy comes off as a happy go lucky loveable dork but his videos are pretty spot on so far.

I've watched the one on Get Fuzzy, Garfield and Zippy the Pinhead:

Continuing on to the Pearls Before Swine one.....

Still been blasting through Mythbusters.
Also watching The 4400 off and on.

Saw that the movie Jobs got added recently so i'm giving that a shot. So far it is decent.
