What music makes you push that extra weight, run just that bit faster or makes you push the pedal to the metal?

The Clash - White Riot
Fugazi - Margin Walker
Black Sabbath - Paranoid

Is what I can come up with now.  Please give enough suggestions to fill a 70 minute cd Wink

Metallica - Kill Em All

Pretty much any thrash speed metal does it for me, but unfortunately there isn't much of it, especially not in the states.  Exodus does it too.  And, Helloween is more power/anthem metal, but they get me going too.  Ready to pick a fight, and I'm a pacifist.

Punk.

I like all sorts of music, but I don't understand the mentality of my gym. Sure it's more women than men, it's not a "weights" gym, more a keep healthy gym, but even so - why do they  always have sloppy soul or r 'n' b music on?

For goodness sake, don't they realise it puts EVERYONE off of working out?

My times on the aerobic equipment is greatly affected if some crumby "ooh" song comes on.

pretty much punk in general is good for me too.  metal and hardcore are but only in the right situation, while punk can be used for any.

I'm finding out that Assemblage 23 and VNV Nation are good too.  Some electronica gets me going just as good as metal does when I'm in the right mood.

I've noticed that punk-pop bands like Good Charlotte, Sum 41 and New Found Glory tend to get me amped up.  Of course Slipknot and Megadeth are always there when I need a huge adrenaline rush.
