I'm starting to itch for it, so I might go look for it in a shop today. I'm tight, so I'll probably only buy it if it's a few pounds less than the general going rate.

I hear some people have finished it already. I also heard some people had it last week.

Edit: Awww. I just went to my local Blockbuster to trade in some DVDs and the sod in front of me got the last one that wasn't reserved. Sad

Edit 2: I went into town but unsurprisingly Blockbuster were sold out. That's a shame because I could have traded in some cruddy DVDs. I went across the road to another shop and bought it for the same price as anywhere else. Undecided It's pretty impressive so far but slow to get going.

Nope, I'm only interested in good games.

laugh

I really, really want this game. However, I need a job to buy a PS3, which is a prerequisite for getting GTA IV.
In before Phoenix chimes in and says "It's on 360 too. " Wink

laugh

You guys know me too well. Cool

Hopefully, I'll be picking up my copy at lunch today.

Smiley We love you Phoenix...but not in that way, sorry.

Speaking of GTA4, last night right after it came out there were 5 people on my PS3 friend list playing it. Pretty impressive.

Understood. Wouldn't have it any other way. Grin

That is impressive. Dang...I didn't know you had 5 people on your friends list...  evilhappy

Got my 360 copy of GTA4 at lunch today.  Cheesy  Also Had a chance to see what was all included in the limited edition and I've got to say that I'm impressed! However, for the extra $30, I'm still going to save it for another game instead...

well i got it yesterday, and its not that bad, Went for the 260 version as as far as i can tell they aren't much diffrent and i cant be an achievement whore on the 360.

Same as James on getting one though i went to Gamestation and the dumb twat behind the counter said they only got 6 that weren't per ordered, even though the shop was crammed out with promo stuff, why advertise the game so heavily yet not have any to actually sell.

Any way went not 100 yards to Woolworths and  got it for £5 cheaper as they has shit loads.

Not at all interested. I have GTA 3 and Vice City and barely touched them. Never bothered with San Andreas. I'll pass on this one as well.

I'm almost at the 50 friend maximum. Speaking of which, Sony sucks for having such a low limit on friends. Yes, I said something negative about Sony!

I've put 8 hours into it so far. It would be much more but I keep having things to do popping up every half hour, which gets in the way of a good session.

It has so much more depth than other GTAs. There are moments in the right lighting where I almost think it looks realistic. There are details which add to it. When it rains the pedestrians have umbrellas. You can hear people talking on mobile phones in the street. You can hear the radio of a car from outside.

It took a few hours to get moving properly but I'm into the proper missions now - past the warm up missions showing how to do things.

Sounds like good attention to detail when it comes to the little things from what James said. Something I like Smiley

Good to know. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to play it last night. Hopefully today I'll get some time in to start catching up. Gotta make time for "The Office" 2nite, though. Cool

I must say that as a first impression the cell phone mechanism works really well as an in-game menu system.

I had the dumbest thought possible about this game today. I was thinking "He should be wearing a seatbelt to set a good example, and he shouldn't use his mobile while driving". Huh Never mind the killing of random passers by or stealing cars...

Had a "ragdoll" moment in my session yesterday which had caught me by surprise. I hijacked a convertible and when I sped into traffic head-on I flew out of the car...Flatout-style. Grin
