In this month's episode, the Playcast and the Shoot the Corecast join forces with Cammy and her Anti-Robot Special Forces to take on an onslaught of robot terrorists in Psikyo's Cannon Spike on the Sega Dreamcast. Rich (singlebanana), Shawn (GrayGhost81), Josh (MetalFRO) and Addicted discuss the ends and outs of this wannabe twin-stick shooter and determine whether this pricey title is one that you need to add to your collection. During the Concertcast segment, the guys choose three bands/artists that they would like to see if breakups and deceased members were no obstacle. We are extremely excited to present this RF Generation site podcast crossover as we play through this action packed title.  Ask yourself, are YOU ready for Baby Mode?

In this month's episode of the Playcast, Rich (singlebanana) and Shawn (GrayGhost81) work to crack the mystery of Remedy Entertainment's newest release in their altered world universe, Control. The guys discuss their thoughts on the game's story, the combat and other forms of gameplay, the graphics, sounds, and whether or not this may be the game for you. Shawn is a self-proclaimed fan of Remedy games, and Rich is a newcomer, so you'll find out how this experience appealed and put-off both of them.

While last month's episode of the ConcertCast was a bit of a downer due to all of the show cancellations due to COVID-19.  The guys spirits are uplifted as they are joined by a very special guest, Marisa Dabice of the band Mannequin P@#%y.  She and her bandmates' 2019 release, "Patience," was honored as one of Pitchfork Music's 2019 Best Rock Albums of the Year. Not only is Marisa a talented musician, but an avid gamer as well.  She and the guys discuss the current and future perils of 2020 for musicians and concert attendees, her newest album and what's she's working toward, and of course, her history with video games and what she's playing now. We're breaking new ground on our show with this interview and we hope that you enjoy it.

The guys go through the ins and outs of these shooters as they discuss the stories, the gameplay, the graphics, the music, and which of the three titles is their favorite. While Shawn is a fan and veteran of the series, Rich only dabbled in the original game when he was younger and had a less favorable opinion of the game. As you may of you know, our site is currently conducting its annual fund drive to help with the server costs for 2020. So far, we have had a good turnout and I am happy to report that with our donors' generous pledges, we are just over 77% of our goal! This is the last week for donations, and we are SO close to reaching our goal!  (you can donate here: http://www.rfgeneration.c...m/index.php?action=paypal), so be sure to donate during this time to get in on the raffle of great prizes donated by our staff. You can now find a listing of all of the raffle prize lots HERE.  However, the staff at RF Generation would first like to take a moment to thank those who have donated since the last update:

We also received a very special donation from site member, Mrs C. For those of you who do not know, Mrs C is the mother of the late Michael Collins.  I was very touched by the message she sent with her donation, and to paraphrase, she was very appreciative of us keeping her son's site going. If you are unfamiliar with Michael, I suggest you check out the "Michael Collins" tab in our "About" section. We owe a lot to him for putting this great community together.

Thank you all for your support! Please remember to PM me the email address you donated with, so that we can properly thank you during our weekly updates and provide you with the proper number of raffle tickets.  If you donated recently and do not see your name, you may have donated after we pulled numbers. If you don't see it, just send me a PM and I will check on your donation status.

On February 1st, we officially kick off our annual RF Generation Community Donation Drive (though all donations today also count toward our total raised!).  Our goal again this year is to raise at least $1500 by February 29, 2020. This money will be used to pay server costs. We hope that you will consider contributing to keep RF Generation a free, fun, and useful site for yourself, other members, and those who haven't been fortunate enough to find us yet. We only ask that you donate what you can and even a small amount, like a few bucks, goes a long way and is very appreciated.

Donations are accepted via PayPal and you can donate through the following link:  http://www.rfgeneration.c...m/index.php?action=paypalPLEASE be sure to PM me (singlebanana) your RF Generation handle and the email address you used to donate (or include your screen name with your donation via PayPal) so that we can thank you on the front page and determine your number of raffle tickets; only your handle will be used and all donation amounts are private.

Raffle tickets you ask? For those of you who donate at least $10, you will be entered into a raffle for some fantastic prize lots.  We currently have several items donated by some of our generous members (prize lots to be posted soon).  We are still accepting donations for prize lots, so if you have any items to donate, please reach out to singlebanana via PM.  Rules for this raffle are listed below.

Thank you for your donations to the site and we hope that RF Generation will remain your #1 choice for tracking your collection for years to come!
