Just watched Wall-E. Wow, what an amazing movie...

It's just trying to fool you. It's a stupid movie, don't let it win.

Watching Annie Hall.

XD

I liked it. But then again, I do like (shudder) Core, so yeah. Tongue

Saw the episode of Top Gear in which they went caravaning. Fun times. Tongue

YAY!

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
This movie was good. I would give it an A.

Don't watch the trailer first! I did not see a trailer before before watching this movie, so I didn't know what to expect. I watched a trailer just a minute ago and it shows many scenes that I watched for the first time in the movie. I hate when trailers show key parts of a movie and while watching the movie you know how things will play out on screen before buildup to that scene takes place. I think I will watch less trailers now.

I got a chance to see a prescreening of Seven Pounds. This movie was absolutely great. Do yourself a favor and see it. I dont want to spoil anything but if you were unsure of the trailer (as I was), check it out anyway. It was a masterpiece.

The Family Man - (2000) - B

--> Better than I expected it to be.

There was yet another Steven Seagal movie on TV tonight, but I decided not to watch it because they're all the same anyway.

let the weekend laserdisc bonanza begin....

watched tonight....

Against The Wall (Laserdisc) - (1994) - A

Reason for score -- pretty decent older HBO movie....

2010:  The Year We Make Contact (Laserdisc) - (1984) - B-

Reason for score -- could this have been any more directed towards the cold war....this movie probably didn't need to be made....

The Birdcage (Laserdisc) - (1996) - B+

Reason for score -- i went into this expecting nothing....but it was actually kinda funny....

Just watched Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian on rented DVD.

I fell asleep for 40 minutes of it. I don't believe I've ever done that during a movie we've paid for. I had to laugh at the last bit...

[spoiler ]

The lion said in such a cheesy voice "For speaking first, your future will be a good one." Then he breathed all over them.

[/spoler]

I know it's a Disney film for kids but it was sickeningly sweet. I'm glad I slept through a third of it because the rest of it was kind of boring and didn't make much sense from the start.

Dumb And Dumber (Laserdisc) - (1994) - B

Reason for score -- pointless classic....way too over quoted though....

Clear And Present Danger (Laserdisc) - (1994) - B+

Reason for score -- gotta love harrison in a good political flick....

Asterix and Obelix vs Caesar - (1999) - C

--> Too childish for my taste.

Mortal Kombat - (1995) - C-

--> Didn't like this one at all.

Ran - (1985) - A+

--> Wonderful movie about 16th century Japan.

Also saw an episode of Keeping Up Appearances, in which Richard had to dress up as Santa. Great stuff, and it hasn't aged a bit.

last night and today so far....

Close Encounters Of The Third Kind (Laserdisc) - (1977) - C+

Reason for score -- kinda stupid alien movie.....i know it has a sort of cult following, but it wasn't anything amazing....

Crimson Tide (Laserdisc) - (1995) - B+

Reason for score -- i have always liked this movie....good action thriller...

The Crow (Laserdisc) - (1994) - C

Reason for score -- pretty pathetic attempt to make a good movie...

The Dark Crystal (Laserdisc) - (1982) - C

Reason for score -- again, another cult following movie that i just didn't care for....
