Saw the remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still last night. Feel like they did a decent job - not great, not terrible. My biggest gripe was what they did with GORT. He was too sleek and computer generated for my tastes.

Praying for a sequel.  They made it apparent that there was more to do with the Underminer at the end.  Easily the best Pixar film.  Whoever did the sound for that movie did a (pardon the term) incredible job.  Damnit, not I want to watch it again...

It was great indeed. Because the movie has a 60ies feel to it, they recorded the music in an old-school way. For example: the brass is very prominant in this movie and they recorded on tape rather than digitally. All the musicians were in the same room too, instead of in seperate recording rooms, etc...
Michael Giacchino composed the music.

Tideland  - (2005) - B+

--> Weird with a capital W. All in all a nice movie though.

Yeah. It made me think, "You know, he might not be a complete freak nutjob after all."
