I've been wondering that myself. It seems you (tholly) only buy Criterion dvd's. You must have like 500 or something.

Yea, they look very good lined up by spine #, although the design has changed over the years, they still look very cohesive together.....if only i had the whole set, then it would look really nice

In December, it will be 455 + reissues, 13 eclipse titles, various Janus Films titles, some Blu-rays, and the essential art house sets

Oh, that's a large collection Tongue

Are all films in the collection worth buying or are some only so-so?

Some people would say all are worth it. I would say 80% or more are. Depends on you film tastes. Most are foreign, subtitled, arthouse films.

The whole collection wouldn't be bad to get if it weren't so expensive.

Single movies average from about $10 used to $35 new. Box sets can go in excess of $100. Out of print, legit, non-bootlegs can go anywhere from say $20 on a lucky buy to multi-hundred dollars for a rare, sealed copy.
