Action based is ok, just no FPS games.

Arx Fatalis is FPHacker, can't remember if you can play in third person, I think there's a toggle although I may be having Morrowwind and Oblivion flashbacks.

From the looks of things there might be more to xbox than meets the eye. It seems like I might have to dig deeper to find the games I want than with other consoles because xbox games tend to get overshadowed by Halo and its ilk. Other than Psychonauts, Vexx, and Conkers, what kind of platformers are there on xbox? Those tend to be my favorite type of game and it seems like they are hard to come by over on xbox.

I have heard  Metal Arms: Glitch in the System is fun but not sure if it is a platformer or not.

It is a fun game and it can be picked up really cheap.

I remember playing a demo of that for PS2 a long time ago. What I don't remember, however, is if it was any good.

I was going through my Xbox collection and found a couple of titles you may enjoy.

- Voodoo Vince (Platform)
- Freedom Fighters (Action)
- Fuzion Frenzy (Misc.) This game is a must!
- Worms Forts Under Siege (Action/Puzzle?) Great Game

Just a few different ideas.

If you're looking for platformers, here are my suggestions:

-Blix (I love this game, but I think I'm in the minority)
-Buffy (The first one...kinda a platformer, kinda FPS)
-Jet Set Radio (Great!)
-Second Sight (Mostly over-the-shoulder FPS, but with a little thinking involved)
-Voodoo Vince (Another great one)
-ToeJam & Earl 3 (Pretty fun platformer, IMO)
-Crimson Skies (Not a platformer but one to check out)

I enjoyed Buff as well. I think Indiana Jones was made by the same people that did Buffy so that might be good.

Indiana Jones is pretty fun. It's alot like Tomb Raider though.
Toe Jam & Earl 3 is fun if you have 2 players. It gets kinda' old with one player.
Castlevania: Curse of Darkness is pretty good, though the stages are pretty bland and repetitive.
If you're into football, definetly pick Sega ESPN NFL 2K5. It's sweet as hell, has custom soundtracks, and can be bought for $1.99 at Gamestop/EB.

Indiana Jones was like Tomb Raider with one exception.

It kicked ass.
