As an avid player of DDR during the cold months, I am elated to see this franchise coming to the wii:

Joystiq- DDR Hottest Party Announced for the Wii

Sounds like it could be a rather strenuous game, though fun, like always.

Yay! Maybe I can finally get my wife to try DDR.

I was never a big fan of the home releases (only because of the pads though - the song selection on the JP releases is subperb), but my group of friends and I were religiously addicted to the arcade versions. About twice a month we used to drive into Chicago to various arcades to play.

Anyway, this looks pretty sweet!

Apparently you've never played on Mario Mix's pad on the GCN. Fantastic pad. Hope I can use it for the Wii version. Smiley

It sure is 'tarded, but it's fun in a 'tarded way.

I really hope this Wii DDR doesn't suck horribly. I'll definitely look into it because I really do enjoy DDR.

Word. I'm not too sure how the Wiimote + Nunchuk addition is going to work. Hopefully Konami pulls it off well.
