I'm actually going through the same process right now, for much the same reasons. I live in a small apartment, and it is starting to look much too cluttered for my tastes, and there are several games here that I have never played, or have finished and don't see myself ever going back too. I'm sure there will be some I may regret selling down the road, but nothing is final, I can always buy them back. I figure it's better to be satisfied with the way things are now, rather than wondering and worrying about every future scenario.

Yea, I would actual split the procedes of the sale up into three seperate accounts:
1/3 -> Wedding Fund
1/3 -> Criterion Collection & Other DVD Fund
1/3 -> Pay off my Master's Degree Fund
Don't know how much money I could make, but of what I did make, if I sold, that's how it would be split up.

Well it sounds like you really don't have any attachment to a lot of that stuff, so ultimately I would say sell it.

Hi, I'm here.
Since you aren't in a bad situation financially, I would say hang onto it. Maybe sell off a few things that you don't want, but if you sell everything I have a feeling you would regret it.
I'm getting married myself in just under a year and I considered selling off a big part of my collection to fund it. I don't play to many of my games right now and it would definatley help to fund the last $10,000 we need before the wedding. After thinking about it for a few weeks I relized that most of the stuff that I would sell I would probably regret, and they would be damn hard to find again. The funny thing is my girlfriend agreed with me.
Of course, it all rests on exactly how attached you are to everything. Since you've sold off big collections in the past it might not be to bad for you to sell off a collection of your size.

I've just started re-collecting stuff from my past; at the time I thought 'I won't ever play this again' -- it's not worth getting rid of if you have some kind of emotional connection to it, even if you haven't played it in forever. I have a PS3/360/Wii and I'm trying to get back the old consoles, instead of the other way around.
As others have said though, you could probably cut the fat and pretty substantially cut your collection down; I do this every once in a while to ensure that I only have things I want.

Id say get rid of all your arcade games, but keep Super Mario World pinball. That thing is rare. I've only seen 2 so far in my life. One at CiCi's pizza somewhere, and another at this Chuck-E-Cheese like arcade.

yea. The arcade stuff is staying. Mario pinball is going nowhere. There were only 1600 of them made ever.
