I'm not big fan of tennis the sport, but I like to play a tennis game every now and then. Virtua Tennis and Mario tennis being my most recent favorites.

There's one thing that really annoys me about these games though; the view of the camera. Half the time you're a tiny figure in the back of the field. Of course one of the 2 figures has to stand in the back, but it makes no sense to have the player stand there, seeing how the computer won't care where it stands. It gives the computer player an unfair advantage.

Of course it's different when you play a 2-4 player game. In that situation it would be fair to switch sides.

Am I the only one who's annoyed by this? It really spoils tennis games for me.

Ive never played a tennis game in which you do not switch sides after a set. I'm pretty sure virtua tennis does this.

That's why I'm complaining about Virtua Tennis.

I have never had a problem with the few. Looks fine to me. The first person view is hard to use on Tennis 2K2.

top spin for xbox has a zoom mode where it always stays behind your player making it so you have the same perspective for the entire game. or if you prefer to switch sides you can change the camera angle to that mode instead

That's what all Tennis games need. I'll see if I can find top spin somewhere.
