World Championship Poker

So I picked this game up the other day after finding out there is online play

Its a bit cheesy as far as building a character model goes , but the game play is fun if you like poker. I really havent ventured out of playing Texas Hold'em , but there seems to be all the different kinds of poker you can play.

I have several people from my Halo 2 clan buying it and playing , but was wondering if anybody here at RF Generation had it as well. If you do and you have Xbox live then make sure to look up my gamertag in the Xbox live account thread and add me to your friends list  

From what I have noticed and heard about the game play online is that there is no way of cheating at the actual game play between the players. However there is a glitch that 2 people can use to "counterfiet" money.  

Fun game if you like playing cards , and there doesnt really seem to be any 10 year olds playing it..... (thats a bonus)

I probably won't pick this up until I can get it for around $10.  I never really liked gambling video games.

19.99 , the Xbox version I bought didn't come with cards.

For 20 bucks i am definately going to pick this up.
How does the gambling aspect of this work?
Don't tell me i will have to pay real money to get game money.

I doubt it but i know there are games out there like that.

No , you "build" a character and he or she starts out with 1000 dollars online money and 1000 dollars offline money. I also heard of people who will lose and then not save , then reload the caracters "stats" before they lost the money. (kind of cheating)

I accidentally turned my Xbox off once after losing and went to play again a few hours later and noticed my loss was not saved because I turned off the Xbox before saving (oops)

I've never even played poker once in my life, so I definitely won't get this unless I see it for about $2.99.  In that case, I still won't be able to play it unless anyone unexpectedly mails an Xbox to me.

There is a PS2 version from what I understand

PS2 Xbox GCN and GBA if memory serves.

That might have been a different poker game that recently came out but i doubt it.

i picked it up for xbox for $10 at toys r us ..... and i hated it ... crappy computer opponents and the online areas lack realism (the whole lose everything and reload, so there is unrealistic betting) ..... so, ill stick to playing real cards with the boys when i get back to school

I played a bit over the last 30 min. I honestly had more fun making my character.(Who has reptile eyes)
It could also be because i really don't know how to play. I get the jist but i don't know most of the specifics. I suppose i will catch on as i play.
Get me set for playing with real money with friends... when i have money.
