That sounds nice.  What kind of upload speeds will you be getting?  How much is it setting you back?

It's unmetered, and £20 amonth.

It costs me £18 a month for a 512k connection.

Gotta change my telephone from NTL, to BT - which suits me, as I was looing for an exist strategy for NTL - got shot of NTL cable t.v already. Switched gas and electric suppliers too.  Changed all the utilities etc, and saved cash, these companies rely on people thinking that it is too much hassle to change to do anything about it.  Phone costs £10 amonth, same as now.

The calls might be more expensive, but I hardly use the phone.

Yeah, I use a VoIP programme called SKYPE. My dad uses it to phone me all the time.

VoIP is gonna get a lot more popular in the next year or two.

I might even by a VoIP telephone for Mrs.THX who doesn't like using the computer so much.

Speed Test Thermometer

Off the chart!

Your line speed:

5100 Kbps

625 K bytes/sec

If you're just dying to see the raw data used to calculate your download speed, here it is:

* download start time: 1116498367095
* download end time: 1116498367175
* download time: 0.08
* download size in thousands of bytes: 50
* estimated line speed (K bits per second): 5100
* estimated line speed (K bytes per second): 62
