Yes the top two bidders were most serious in their bids.  I still can't believe it sold for as much as it did, but it is the only known copy existing right now.

That's a lot of money for a label variation!

It's still just a label variation though. It's a common title available for both Atari & Sears, and it shares the artwork from the Atari cart. So really it's just the fact it's got a yellow font & a Sears logo on it, that makes it rare.

It was first discovered on ebay a little over a year ago, and the seller of this auction won it back then for around $130. So in one year it's shot up over $500 in price!  Pretty good turn around for the seller!  I guess the year of discussion, and the fact that no other copies have surfaced have helped to create this frenzy of it. I do not believe this is the only one. But it is one of those deals where unless you have a clear shot of the cart in every ebay auction that turns up, you can not tell most of the time whether it's a rarity 10 or a common as dirt rarity 2.
