I knew that sunlight could damage boxes, labels, etc. but i wasn't aware that normal lights could until last weekend.
When i was in my shop i noticed that they had Clay Fighters 63 1/3. The thing that surprized me was that the whole top and back of the box was bleached.
I know they moved the games around while i was gone which explains me never seeing the game before.
I also know they never shut the lights off in that display case which is the only thing that could have bleached the box.

Wasn't it partly caused by the heat? Those spotlights can get pretty hot.

Actually I know flourescent lights can fade paper after a period of time. Teachers at my school have stuff up on their walls for a year and when they take it down the front side is faded badly while the back has its original color.
