Maybe we should just have a Sony bashing thread and get it over with Undecided

I heard this about a week ago, and it really doesnt suprise me. I wonder if the backwards compatiblity is done through emulation?

Oh boo hoo, like 40 games won't work until they patch it.

Let's see:

X-Box 360, been out for almost a year and still craptacular BC.

Wii, you have to buy all these extra things to make BC work.

PS3, a few games don't work out of like a billion titles. There were probably issues with the PS2 to PSX as well. There's always going to be a few glitches.

It sounds like it is done through emulation.  Was the 360 emulation as well ? Kinda makes me wonder how the wii is going to do with its backward compatibility with the cube.

Once again, in case anyone missed it

$600

You know, just a minor factor there.

Every console that has attempted BC has had problems with this. So it's no surprise to me.

Sony's probably going to have to go through its library just like Microsoft did and develop a list to advise the public what games are BC.

I'd like to think that given that the Wii is a glorified Gamecube it will have no BC issues with the GC games.

The PS2 definitely had some issues with this as well.  If you think paying $600 for a system with BC issues, imagine being one of the people paying $1,600+ for it.
