Nintendo leading the way 2 straight months....do i smell comeback?
Que LL Cool J
This from gamespot:
On the hardware side, Nintendo's DS led the way, selling 485,000 systems during February. Its console counterpart was the second-best-selling system, as 335,000 Wiis were sold in the US. Domestically, the Xbox 360 sold around 228,000, while Sony saw its older hardware outselling newer offerings. The PlayStation 2 moved 295,000 units, followed by the PlayStation Portable's 176,000, and the PlayStation 3's 127,000.
While Nintendo posted the best numbers in the hardware sector, it was a Microsoft game that claimed the top of the software sales charts. Sporting a coveted invite to the Halo 3 beta testing program, the Xbox 360 game Crackdown had the top of the charts on lockdown for February, selling 427,000 copies during the briefest of months.
Top 10 games for February, 2007, based on number of units sold:
1. Crackdown--Xbox 360
2. Wii Play with Wii Remote--Wii
3. Diddy Kong Racing--DS
4. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess--Wii
5. Guitar Hero 2 bundle--PlayStation 2
6. Gears of War--Xbox 360
7. MLB 2K7--Xbox 360
8. Lost Planet: Extreme Condition--Xbox 360
9. WarioWare: Smooth Moves--Wii
10. NBA Street: Homecourt--Xbox 360

I'm kinda shocked that Wii Play did so well. Anyways, good job Nintendo.

I think it's even more fun that the PSP and PS2 out sold the PS3. Nice work Sony!

That game looks unreal. I have friends that run game stores still and they say that the Wii is all anyone comes in or calls about. They say they get hounded by requests. Wish the big N could make them faster, the sales would be HUGE!

I cannot wait for SPM! That game looks incredible. I'm not gonna get entirely hyped up for it, but it does have potential to be the best console mario game since mario world.

I have the same opinion. Intelligent Systems is masterful in their Last Paper Mario Outing, and it is quite possibly my favorite game for the GameCube. So, if you own a Wii or GC and want one hell of an amazing RPG experience, go by Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Now.

I'll second that and add the first Paper Mario for the N64 is a must have as well.

I haven't been able to find this damn thing anywhere...
Funny story actually... About two weeks ago I was with my wife and a friend driving in to Chicago to see a concert. We stopped at an oasis on the tollway and inside they had one of those lame prize games. This one had a freakin Wii Play in it, and I haven't seen the game in any store anywhere. Very frustrating...
Then, this last Tuesday, I stopped at the same oasis on my way in to O'Hare. Guess nobody was able to win it, cause it was still there.
